We had a group of 45, age 4 to 67. There were beds/mattresses for all and enough bathrooms. The younger ones loved all the activities in the garage. We were able to to prepare and serve 2 meals a day for the group. Good access to Bear Lake though about 30 minutes drive to the beach to the north that is very sandy and safe for all ages.
We had a family reunion in Bear Lake and had multiple families staying together in the house. The home was very functional for large group gatherings. The kitchen was well stocked to be able to cook a variety of meals. There were lots of tables and a good open area for eating. There were additional picnic tables outside and folding tables inside. There was plenty of space to gather as a whole group in the family room. Kids of all ages loved the play area. The younger children really enjoyed the foam pit, playground and toys. The older kids/teen loved the ping pong, air hockey and foosball. The green space around the house was awesome for volleyball and other lawn games. There was plenty of space to park as well. The home was clean and had all the necessary linens and towels we needed as well. It was an easy drive to access Bear Lake from the southern side.
We had a great time at this house celebrating our family reunion with 20 adults and 7 children. It was in a great central location and a quick trip to the Lake. Wonderful grassy area for playing outdoor games, flying kites and having water balloon fights. The kitchen was very well stocked. There was plenty of room for all of us and the playroom was such a great place for the kids to play while the adults talked in the kitchen. Having enough seating for everyone together during meals was wonderful and not something we always get in these big houses. The only thing that was difficult was the lack of a door to the upstairs area. With the kids sleeping in that area it was difficult for us to play cards and board games and enjoy ourselves without having to constantly think about possibly waking up the kids. It looks like there used to be a door there so am not sure why they had it removed. The beds were adequate with plenty of pillows and blankets. Without closets or bureaus in the bedrooms it would have been nice to have at least luggage stands. All in all a wonderful trip and I would recommend this house to any big groups.
My family of six brothers and three sisters, and their kids, young adults, were all there with so many activities and space to spread out, and the location was near the lake. Everything was perfect and ideal for what we were looking for. Would love to come back again.
We do afamily trip every year for the last 20 years and i can honestly say this was the best vacation house so far. We didn't even see the kids the first day, they were so engaged in the play room. The house is HUGE and we used every corner. We will definitely be back!
We had a big family reunion and this place was perfect for all ages! It had enough seating for everyone for meals. Perfect room arrangement and sleeping arrangements. We loved it!
Wonderful facility. Easy to find and well equipped
We had 27 people. 5 were 5 or under. Great play room with lots of fun activities for all ages. Close to the beach and enjoyed the kayaks provided. Beautiful setting, easy to find and comfortable for large groups Plenty of sleeping quaters and welll equipped kitchen. Very enjoyable weekend.
The property was perfect for gathering the large family of all ages to get together and celebrate a wedding as well as time of fellowship, laughter, games, cheered meals, memory making.
Wonderful home! Nice, rustic decor, very clean, large kitchen, dining and gathering areas, as well as beds for extended family. Stamped concrete floor made a great mud room with snowy boots, etc. Quick response to questions.
We had a group of 38 ages 1-80 for a 4 day ski weekend. Family loved the game room, kitchen and dinning facilities, and the entertainment options. We liked it so much we booked it for our next year trip!
Our children and grandchildren all gathered for Christmas. The house had plenty of bedrooms, the kitchen and eating areas were spacious, we had enough gathering rooms for multiple conversations and games going on at one time and the kids loved the amazing playroom! It was a 10 out of 10!
This place is great! It has a large gathering area (lots of couches), a kids' hangout (bean bags, a projector and screen hooked to a dvd player), a cozier living room (where a few adults would sit and visit) and a good-sized dining area where everyone could eat together. The game room (converted garage - so a little chilly) - had everything! Foosball, pool table, foam pit, small climbing wall, ping-pong, a playground climbing set - everything! It has room heaters which keep it warm-ish and the way the kids were running around in there, they didn't complain that it was chilly, but it was a bit cool to me. The bedrooms had nice heavy doors and kept the sound out. The kitchen was very well stocked - lots of dishes and plenty of silverware and whenever someone asked "Do you think they have a . . . ?" - they did! Since its close to Christmas time, we were very glad to have the lovely Christmas tree in the front room. We found a keyboard in a closet but since we brought our own; I can only assume it worked. We had lots of little children - infants up to a couple of 13 year olds - and everyone had a fantastic time. We highly recommend Aspen Lodge. (Please note that the property details description is correct -there are 8 private bedrooms and one bunkroom. There are NOT 10 bedrooms.) TIP: One of our moms suggested we bring $ store black plastic
tablecloths to hang over the french door entries to some bedrooms to cut down on the light in the daytime to accommodate napping toddlers.
Great property, the outside lights were burnt out, so we couldn't see to get to the front door, but we all had phones with lights so it was fine. Inside was great. Nice and clean lots of bedrooms.
We had a wonderful time at this property. We had 32 people ranging in age from 10 months to 68. There was plenty of space. The kids all enjoyed the play area and the adults all enjoyed the time together while the kids were playing. The one thing we noticed was the noise. (but I am pretty sure that had a lot to do with the fun our grandkids were having.
We loved our stay here. The play room/garage area kept the kids entertained the entire time and it was so close to the beach. Honestly, the pictures don't do it justice. We were surprised by how big the dining area was because it just didn't look as big in the pictures. We went at the beginning of the off season and really lucked out with the weather.
