We were in KC for a family vacation. This property was perfect! It is as cute, cozy, and clean as the pictures and description reflect. Well stocked (pots, pans, spices, erc) so you can cook in and eat on the back porch. Great location to many stores, restaurants, and activities within 10 to 30 minutes. Tammie quickly provided a variety of suggestions of activities and restaurants while making herself available for more options if interested. This may sound odd, but the shower had great water pressure and the shower head was mounted high. This is great for us because I have thick, long hair and often find a trickle of water at many rentals, and my son 6'5" and enjoyed not having to squat down. The simple things make a difference. Even though the house seemed close to the airport and not far off the highway, it was a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. We truly enjoyed our stay and Tammie was a great host. We will stay here if we find ourselves in KC again, and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you Tammie!
We visited the area to attend a wedding in which my son was a groomsman. The location of the house was perfect for us - close to the airport, the wedding venue, and the town of Weston which we wanted to visit the following day. The house was spotless and comfortable for the four of us to sit and visit. Also close to plenty of restaurants and downtown. Wish we had better weather to enjoy the lovely deck and fire pit area out back! Very much recommend this home if you are visiting the area.
My daughter and I stayed here after moving her out of KU dorm. We spent a couple of extra days in Kansas City to celebrate her first year. Home was incredibly comfortable and beautifully decorated. The view from the back porch was relaxing and peaceful. Being only 25 minutes or so from the city was perfect, and being close to grocery/Target was super convenient. We visited the Rabbit HOle in north KC, went to City Market and a Royals Game, and even to a movie (only 10 minutes away). Although only a few minutes from the airport, the plane noise wasn't bad. The road parallels the highway and feeds to the airport, but the noise from passing cars was not too bad, and louder at normal commute times. We loved our few days here and look forward to staying here again.
This house was cute and cozy! The check in process was super easy, the host was awesome and it was super clean. If I'm in that area again, I'll choose to stay here if possible.
Was the perfect lil home away from home, had pretty much everything needed from coffee maker, pots, utensils. Very comfortable beds, I would definitely rate a 10/10
My family of 4 stayed here for a weekend & it was perfect! Itâs a cute, cozy, & clean home. When we first arrived, the heater wasnât working but Tammie was quick to respond & had someone go to the property to fix it. The beds were comfortable & it was decorated beautifully. If weâre ever in town again weâd definitely go back.
My husband, mother and I stayed at this beautiful, well appointed home for two nights and it was the perfect place to host family dinners. Itâs exactly as pictured and very spacious with an open concept. The furnishings were so comfortable and we also loved sitting on the back porch and seeing some wildlife. Itâs a lovely country setting, yet only minutes from the city. We will definitely stay again next time weâre in KC. I highly recommend this beautiful home. You wonât be disappointed!
It was super close to the airport, which is what we needed. Felt super remote at the same time, definitely far from civilization. But the beds were cozy and the house had everything we needed. There are super bright street lights outside the house so it was hard to sleep at night until we draped blankets over the windows. Also a bit of a musty/smoker smell when we first entered, but on the other hand everything did seem very clean.
We have stayed at this property twice now for the Nascar races and we love it. Its the perfect space for my husband and I. We love the location because its quiet but still close to everything we needed. Very little traffic. The house was clean and everything worked wonderfully.
Great little 2 bedroom, 1 bath house. It had almost everything I needed for my stay. The kitchen was well equipped, full size washer and dryer. Nice bathroom. It is located on a road with some high speed traffic which was a little loud but not constant and I never had trouble backing out of the driveway onto the road. The internet worked well. I couldn't figure out how to watch local tv stations on the tv but since I had my laptop and good internet, it wasn't a problem for me. This is a great house and the owners got back to me very quickly when I had questions.
First visit (allbeit short) to KCMO. Came in on Saturday for the Chiefs v Bengals game. Had an early flight out Monday, so we were looking for something close to the airport. This property fit the bill perfectly! Clean & comfortable for 4 adults!
The host did honor our service Dog after making
VRBO aware of a fee of $500 that was in violation of federal law and was more that the cost of the rental. The visit was was substandard the house smelled of mold the minute we walked in the door. There is a dehumidifier that is not disclosed and tucked away in the corner that does not show in the pictures. I emptied the dehumidifier 3 times in less than 48 hours. The dehumidifier was full of mold and the filter light indicated it needed to be cleaned. I have pictures of the mold in the dehumidifier. This should be cleaned with mold killing solution. The dehumidifier never got below 50% Relative Humidity. We found ourselves sleeping with the door closed to minimize the exposure at night. We used outside areas to eat and did not spend day time hours at the house. Kind of stuck with this house as this was not disclosed. The mold is a health hazard and the visit will not be a repeat. If you renovate a house and don't address the mold you will never get rid of it by using a dehumidifier, especially if you never clean it.
