First thingâs first: we were confronted with a strong smell of cat pee on entering the space. The game/exercise room was unavailable but that was only communicated once we got there. To their credit they did offer to hook up an XBox in our space. Breakfast was not anything other than instant oatmeal and yogurt. Homemade muffins were provided before COVID.The main room furniture is highly worn and in need of replacement. Communication was not great. We asked for the lights outside the rooms to be turned off since the main space shades didnât reach the floor. We got a thumbs up response, but the lights never went off. In the morning we noticed an unlabeled garage-door-looking remote that turned them off. That information would have been useful earlier. The address to the house pulls up incorrectly on Google Maps and Apple Maps. If they changed it to reflect the private street name outside their house it would come up correctly. The good: the bedrooms and bathroom were neat and clean.
Bonnie was a fabulous host both prior to and during our stay. We arrived a bit later than planned, but we were welcomed with the beautiful light strings on the porch and the sound of the roaring ocean!! We are a family of 5 with 3 older kids, and the space was perfect for our stay. In the morning we were greeted by a beautiful view of Haystack Rock down by the beach. Our stay was only a couple of days, but we did take advantage of an evening in the hot tub. We would have loved to stay longer! Bonnie was was very accommodating and quick to answer any questions we had. Thanks for the great stay!
