« We received a vety friendly welcome and help to take our luggage upstairs. The room was clean and spacious. The ensuite looked in pristine condition and the shoeer was easy to usecand vety good. Breakfast had a number of cooked choices as well as the continental self service. Iverall the staff at the Drake made us very welcome and very comfortable. The jotel is well positioned for the Hoe, Barbican and Railway Station. »

« From the start walking into reception staff were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to ensure both myself and wife had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The room was immaculate, tea & coffee on tap, bottled water, fresh milk in the mini fridge. « We stayed in the garden suite. It was lovely. My only criticism would be that one of the legs on the futon in the living room area was broken. Our Daughter said the bed in the smaller bedroom wasn't very comfortable so we used spare duvets and a blanket to make it more comfortable. The small garden area was ideal for our dogs to be able to give them some space to toilet etc. The food in the pub was very nice, my only criticism would be the lack of vegetarian options. Overall we enjoyed our stay....

« Staff were really helpful and kind. Room was immaculate, bathroom was spotless and linens were high-quality and pristine. Bed was comfy, and some nice touches like local treats and toiletries. The breakfast was really good quality and reasonably priced. Biggest downside is that the room was cramped— we were on a several-day trip, so it was hard to manage our large suitcases in the space.
