we were awoke in the middle in the night somebody had key to our room and walked at 4.25am . We were absolutely furious. Haw anybody can have a key to which is already occupied.We traveling places around the world we never experience situation like that.

I wouldn’t class this hotel as £130 a night and the room wasn’t in the main hotel which we didn’t expect. The bathroom was nice but the bedroom was a bit dated.

Good hotel located on the Seafront. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Easy waking distance from Railway Station. Would happily stay again.

Lovely location on the seafront and close to all amenities. Our rooms in annex 46 were spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately our first two nights we had no hot water or central heating, and while we had electric plug-in heaters, cold showers were not an option we were willing to put up with! It took complaining multiple times over two days to get moved (the plumber was always ‘on their way’). We were moved to the main hotel building, where the rooms were much smaller but had jacuzzi tubs ht water and central heating. In room 2 our bead and headboard were separated with screws sticking out. Breakfast was decent, but be warned that on buffet days things can get a bit dry. Overall a lovely location and the staff are all amazing but the general condition of the hotel could be improved.

On arriving early reception checked our room was ready very friendly and helpful with an earlier check in . Room we stayed in overlooked the sea which was beautiful , cleanliness was good and the bed was comfortable . Bar staff were chatty and friendly . Would come back 👍

A very nice stay, we had the deluxe room and the view was amazing. Clean room, clean sheets. Nothing to right home about but was a very nice stay. We did get woken up at 5am on the sunday (The day we were leaving) by a fire alarm but this was most probably out of the hotels control and it was turned off within 10 minutes or so. Other than that no complaints!

Not as pleasant as usual
Receptionist no eye contact booking in or out. Had to pay extra for breakfast after forking out £101 for a Monday night. Hair in the tea cup!

We had no curtains/blinds in the bathroom so anyone outside could see in, shower was cold and house keeping came straight in the bedroom, whilst my partner was in bed, WITHOUT KNOCKING at 10.30 despite check out being at 11

Nice enough accomodation in Portsmouth, but very disappointed to learn on arrival that the lift was not working. There are no porters either and although the (female) staff offered to assist with bags my son felt compelled to do all the heavy lifting. I had a great deal of difficulty doing tge stairs!!

Room was alot older and more run down than the pictures looked. Iron was broken. They brought a new one, it was burnt on the bottom. Furnishings & towels need to be replaced.

Older property in beautiful location. Comfortable bedding and room, stairs and hallways need some work. Did their best for us, but we would likely stay in a different hotel if we return to Aberystwyth.

The single bed room was clean but very small and cramped(built in under the eves of the building)It was also on suite but the shower was too small to stand in properly.I wouldn't want to stay more than one night in that particular room. The staff were courteous and what I saw of the hotel was clean and tidy.

Rooms facing water the best
Had planned afternoon tea but did not order in advance so unsuccessful. Breakfast food very good, little to no service except for a pot of tea. Staff pleasant but not highly welcoming. Location OK for walk along promenade but a good 8 to 10 minute walk to restaurants and cafes

Overpriced
Very high price for what is a relatively basic hotel. Spa facilities I can’t vouch for. I stay in many hotels, frequently, and perhaps his was a high price because of low availability. But if you are looking at prices of circa £145 per night without breakfast, I think it’s worth shopping around.

Avoid!
On arrival, the main car park was full so had to go in the alternative which wasn't immediately obvious to find. Checked into the hotel and went to the room. The reception area looks nice, but the room was awful. Really dirty, including bed sheets, pillows, carpets, walls, bathroom, lamp shades. The kettle looked like a health hazard. The room itself had no toiletries so I went to ask at Reception who (after 10 mins of searching) told me she couldn't find any either, so that was that! The breakfast was okay but not brilliant. The dining room is very dated and the staff weren't attentive - they stood in the corner on their phones and talking. I travel a lot with work and am away on business most weeks - this is probably one of the worst hotels I've stayed in.

Worth a visit
Lovely one night break. Hotel booked last minute lovely double room overlooking the sea. Stayed with my daughter and used the spa, no one else there so was wonderfully private.

Never Again.
In the morning the toilet was blocked no one apologized to us for that on the last day someone turned the water off on as I was under the shower then wife came to the reception again !!. The room was terribly dirty, which is not that the handles from the inside Will never go there again. Thanks Gods that was only 2 nights.
