Windy but great spot

Very windy! Pretty sleepy little town but super close to great wineries. At the foot of one of the most famous cycling climbs in a Australia too.

B&B in Historical Willunga

I thoroughly enjoyed staying in this beautiful old restored 1850's home which is appointed as a Bed and Breakfast accommodation. It is ideally located in a charming garden setting and was within easy access to the Saturday Willunga Markets, and for me, just a stroll over the road to where I needed to attend the Fleurieu Folk Music Festival, held on the last weekend of October each year. My room with ensuite was large, with shuttered bay windows to the front garden. Antique furniture, floor rugs and original art works complemented it. The bed was extremely comfortable with beautifully fresh top grade linen, which is always a plus. Plenty of bath towels, face cloths, etc. Other guests commented favourably on their respective rooms. The dining room where breakfast was served looked onto the rear garden with an abundance of fruit trees roses and other flowering plants. The owner, our host, Nick, prepared and served delicious breakfasts from ingredients sourced from the garden and locally, and from the Farmers Market.

Character Colonial B & B

Given that Willunga was one of the earliest areas settled by Europeans in South Australia, Willunga House is of an appropriate age (1850) and presents an ideal atmosphere in which to enjoy the town. It has been well restored by Nick and Val who were excellent hosts.

Wonderful place to stay in lovely village of Willu

We enjoyed 2 nights at Willunga House and recommend the accommodation and region unreservedly. The bedroom is set up beautifully with every comfort and the common areas are equally thoughtfully equipped and decorated. Great breakfasts and perfect hosts. Thank you Nick & Val.

Less than average

The bathroom was the smallest I've ever seen. Expensive. Black hair on the walls, basin and bath in the bathroom.

Excellent BnB in centre of a nice quiet town

Willunga House was our first stay there and we were very happy. Very comfortable room and our stay made even more so by wonderful hosts, Nick and Val. It met our needs for a good night's rest, good breakfast in comfortable surroundings. We plan on returning.

Beautiful classic home style with class

Our host Nick, made us very welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. Once we had settled in , it was like we had the place to ourselves, even though all rooms were occupied. It was like a home away from home.

Great Location

We had a lovely coupe of days in the district and Nick's amazing breakfast were a solid foundation to the day! He did an excellent job catering for coeliac's. Thanks Nick!

Lovely B&B in a heritage town in McLaren Vale.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. After a big day driving to the beaches and the wineries, it was great to come back and relax in our clean, inviting bedroom. Nick and Val are wonderful hosts, leaving you alone, but they provide a hearty breakfast in the most beautiful breakfast room.

Historic B&B in the Heart of the Southern Vales

Arrived on 40 degree plus afternoon and were greeted by our host Nick and ushered into a lovely cool old house in downtown Willunga. From there everything went excellently: great environment, artworks, garden and pool (a few bees about sharing the water activities): Unexpectedly superior breakfast service to any we have had before; my scrambled eggs were a sunny yellow as I hadn't seen for sometime (happy chooks in the back garden, I saw Nick collecting eggs one morning) plus delicious pastries, fresh fruit, juices etc etc served up in pleasantly formal setting and fashion by Nick himself (Val popped her head in to say hi). Our room was spacious and the bed as I like them firm and comfortable all complemented by high quality linen. Stayed two nights got fresh sets of towells each day: very nice indeed

We enjoyed our stay at Willunga House. Our room was lovely with beautiful bed linen and we particularly enjoyed the comfortable sitting room. The kitchen available for guests was very well equipped and our cooked breakfasts were delicious.

The Ideal B&B

We had a lovely surprise when we walked up the stairs and Nick showed us our Accommodation. The bedroom and adjoining bathroom were really well appointed, comfortable and clean. The living room was "homely" and very tastefully set up. The kitchen was modern and practical and the fridge was loaded with plenty of food for our breakfasts - the homemade jams were a treat as were the strawberries.

Pure relaxation

Great hosts, great places to eat (Fino and Russell's pizza never disappoint). The balcony is made for doing a lot of not much and the new fully equipped kitchen is very handy for putting together all the yummy stuff from the Willunga market.
