Voyage en couple
2 févr. 2026
We stayed at Los Andenes Cave in the last week of January 2026, and we feel obliged to offer some advice to others considering renting the house during the winter months.
We experienced a cold and damp house. Everything was damp: bedding, pillows, sheets, sofas, floors, and walls. There were no proper heating options. We managed to get the owner, Ismael, to provide a gas heater, which helped a little (one bottle of gas lasted two nights), and we found some firewood so we could light the fireplace.
After drying the bedding in the tumble dryer (which did not heat properly), we were able to sleep in the house. However, the house remained damp, even after using the gas heater, buying firewood for the fireplace (one bag per day), and drying the bedding in the tumble dryer every evening.
Another warning: the house has mold in the area around the dining table.
The location is very nice, and the terrace was lovely when the sun was out and provided warmth. It is probably a great place in summer, but it requires considerable effort to stay there during the winter.
