« For a 500 year old buiklding it is still a really great place to stay. Large bedroom & bathroom. Lots of tables in the dining areas & good menu choice. Massive carpark, a very big plus when booking. This is what swayed me. Shops & cafes near by if required. »

« Staff were excellent. Food very good. Appreciated group of 10 having separate area for meals. Not keen on the bath in the bedroom, nowhere reachable to put soap or shampoo. No washbasin in the toilet. Would be better to make shower room with toilet. Bath not easy to get in and out. »

« Our over all experience were amazing. The staff were all lovely and accomodating. The food were delicious and the place was great as it was situated in the centre where you stroll around and it safe as well. »

« We didn’t have hot water for the whole of our stay. We were told it would come back on after the first day and it did not. The next time they said it we wanted to shower we had to do it in another room, however they asked us to share this room key with other people which wasn’t what we thought when booking. « Our stay was a journey down memory lane for me. The hotel was still lovely and popular, the room was clean and albeit small as a twin, it was in keeping with such a historic building and the lady on the bar, who checked us in couldn’t be more welcoming. The kitchen even catered amazingly for a veggie and a vegan option breakfast. The hotel is centrally located for the beautiful village of Eyam’s history trail, tea rooms and local walks with good parking facilities. »
