« Hosts were very communicative. Proximity to everything is within walking distance, although it rained while we were there so we decided to drive and park. The living room furniture and kitchen table are now different from what is pictured... Not good nor bad, just picture not updated. Of note, this is a very old shed/storage area converted into a one bedroom apartment. While it was very cute and quaint, there was a very heavy musty smell. They did have an air purifier going but didn't seem to...

« Best VRBO we have ever rented. Jerry and Betty had everything so clean and stocked with a lot of extras. House was ready for an early check in and we were able to get the rest and relaxation we needed. We cooked our own meals, napped on couch, and only ventured out for fresh vegetables. »

« The host was very responsive and we were very impressed with the upgrades and appliances. The view was great in the summer time and must be even better in the fall and winter.We’re always appreciative for hosts who are also dog friendly so it makes it easy for our little Boston terrier to join us. »

« The neighbor hood is very nice. We walked up and down the street and stopped for ice cream. Wish we would have got to eat at the Mexican right across the street. The house is awesome! Betty was great and even set up a cot for an extra bed. The house had everything we needed. We loved the history of the house and enjoyed staying in an older home that was perfectly maintained. The only suggestion is maybe bring a sleep mask because the street light is by the house. I would recommend this house for...

« I have stayed in a lot of different homes and can't always give a 5 star rating but this homes deserves more than 5 stars. The house is beautiful, very clean, comfortable, and Betty would check to see if we needed anything. We sat out on the carport watching the rain and storm and it was BEAUTIFUL. I would absolutely recommend this home to my family and friends. I will be going back down to Mount Airy and will plan my trip to stay here again. »

« View is exceptional. Nice windows inside to see the Blue Ridge Mountains. Saw a doe and her baby. Also saw turkey! Many amenities of home. Host was quick to reply to messages. Downside, there was an odor when we entered, but we like open windows the best anyway! With the winds open, fresh air was flowing. I’m just sensitive to odors, you may not be. Overall—- it was a very relaxing time for us as we celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary overlooking the mountains! »
