We were impressed by the pleasantly relaxed atmosphere, the quality of the food, the variety of dining and bar areas and the comfortable, well-maintained and quiet rooms (no audible traffic noise). « De kamer was erg warm en bedompt. Hotel is wat oubollig en mag wel een likje verf hebben. Buitenzijde ziet er niet uit, binnen is het redelijk. Personeel is vriendelijk. Hotel zelf heeft geen eetgelegenheid. Werkt samen met âBeef Eaterâ naast de deur. Ontbijt was zeer beperkt tot alleen zoetigheid, brood en pannenkoeken, of je moest het typisch Engels ontbijt kiezen. Verder geen kaas of vleeswaren.

« Service is friendly and impeccable. The food is superb and much of it is grown on site in the kitchen garden (daily tours available). We had a birthday dinner party for 12 adults in the Garden Room and we were looked after incredibly well. Lovely scenery at no extra charge! Hugely recommended. Best to stay in the main hotel if you can rather than the wagons or sheds. »

« This has been on my bucket list for some time. We had a wounderful 2 night stay and everything was perfect. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable, larger than alot of hotel rooms. You lay in bed at night and could imagine your travelling on a train. The meal was excellent, Beef Wellington to die for, so good and wonderful surroundings in a 1906 Pullman car exquisitely restored. The staff were brilliant and extremely helpful.
