Got an unarranged 7.30am wake up call by a loud buzzy noise from a gadget at the ceilling. Tried to call the reception and the duty manger around 8. No one answer the call..... It was still buzzy when i checked out at 10ish

I stayed here for a work conference at The AKL Grid. It is always lovely, quiet and well kept. I feel safe in the quiet area surrounding the hotel. There is a car park next door and a metro supermarket on the corner.

A clean, comfortable, attractive hotel, with friendly staff. There are very few restaurants in the neighborhood. The hotel skimped on on tissues and TP, and our room had a very tiny wastepaper container.

Rooms were comfortable and easy walk to restaurants. The room keys didn’t work to start with and the rooms weren’t made to the right configurations but they sorted that quickly. There was no microwave! Would stay her again though.

Booked an expensive double room and got two single beds. Was told this would be changed and it wasn’t. Despite having the ‘please clean my room’ sign up there was NO housekeeping during our entire visit. Very poor considering how nice the hotel once was.

Well worth the money.
Great location. Room was a bit on the small side, but very clean. Staff was wonderful with an early check in and a late check out.

Had booked a king size room with king bed. Upon check in I was advised I wasn’t getting the original room I had booked but the only difference was the toilet was an accessible. Got to room and found it was a queen bed. Went back down to reception and spoke with a different staff member and advised of the situation. They explained they in fact did not have any rooms left with the kind bed and that I could be comp’d with a bottle of wine or a breakfast voucher which you could obtain for free already. No compensation could be provided I was told as the price for a queen or king room was the same. Very disappointing customer service
