We were so happy with our stay in this house! It was very clean, bright, and beautifully decorated with just the right amount of stuff so it didn't feel cluttered. It was the perfect size for me, my mom, my brother, sister-in-law, nephew, and our 4 dogs. It was truly pet-friendly (which can be hard to find with vrbo's) and it was great having a fenced in yard for them as well. We were moving my mom out of her old house in Sebring and needed a place to stay for the weekend while we did this. This was the perfect option for us and it felt so nice to come back to this little retreat after multiple exhausting days of moving. It had all the little extra touches that made it feel special. Everything was super easy with booking, checking in, and checking out. Now that we have sold my mom's house, this would definitely be a place I would stay again if I was coming back into town to visit friends! Thank you for sharing your home with us! :)

Family visit March 2025

There is plenty of room for the 5 of us to settle in. The kitchen had service for 4, but we did have a formal dinner. Showers took a moment to figure out, but had good pressure. The porch lights made it easy to find the house when coming back for the evening. Disappointed that the washer was not working,since we had packed with plans to do laundry. One of the smoke detectors in the front room chirped a bit. Overall, we would book again.

Exceeded expectations

Quiet comfortable getaway

The property was in a nice location in Avon Park and close to where we were visiting. Beds were comfortable and showers were spacious. Kids had their own room to enjoy and rest. Mango tree outside was giving us ripe fruit throughout our stay which was super cool! Would definitely stay here again when we are back in the area. Also property owner was quick with responses and very nice.

Oasis in Avon Park

The house was cool, clean and spacious. They lose a star because of a missing lightbulb in a bedroom. There were not enough garbage bags or paper towels for our stay. Otherwise a great place

Great cottage!

We were in town for an event and had 2 friends traveling with us from New Zealand, the home looked brand new on the inside and had a fabulous front porch which we all enjoyed. The hosts are excellent as well! Easy check-in and easy checkout. If we are ever back in the area, we would definitely want to stay here.

Weekend Getaway

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this property although there were a few minor hiccups. Upon arrival there was an issue checking in to where the key code had not been changed yet but the property manager answered our call and corrected the issue promptly. There were also several times while entering the house or trying to lock up while going out, that the key code would randomly work or not. (I think the batteries were just dying). Our second day there while watching tv in the master bedroom the bed frame collapsed and the bed posts gave out. No one was hurt it was more of a shock as I'm only 185 lbs and my wife is 120 lbs. I contacted the property manager right away and she was very sincere and apologetic. All in all though we had an enjoyable stay, the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, the house was clean, and the property manager was easy to get a hold of and communicated promptly and effectively. If you decide to stay here we recommend the Coffee Vault for breakfast, Taqueria Merlo for authentic Mexican food, Avon Park BBQ is right down the road and delicious, and our absolute favorite restaurant while visiting there was Cowpokes Watering Hole in Sebring.
