  • Bigfoot's Creek is a quaint home on Sugar Mountain. A very unique property with a stream running under the front deck and a private gazebo in the sideyard. Truly a home for the outdoor lover with a wooded yard, streams, bridges, and a large deck with a gas firepit. Enter the home and walk into an open-concept living room/kitchen. The ambiance is set by the high tongue and groove ceilings, exposed beams, and large windows. The kitchen area is fully furnished and offers stainless steel appliances. With 5 bedrooms, there is plenty of sleeping space. The master bedroom has a king bed with an ensuite bath and a private deck entrance. There are four guest bedrooms, two with queen beds and two with bunk beds. There are 2 1/2 baths. The owner has stocked the home with plenty of board games to play when you are ready to come inside from your outdoor activities, and has added air conditioning.
    Bigfoot's Creek is close to all the amenities that the mountain offers. In less than a 2-mile drive, you can go skiing, tubing, ice skating, golfing, tennis, biking, gem mining, mountain coaster, restaurants, shopping, and more.

Nice home but has a rat issue rat droppings in the bed. bedroom doors dont shut air-conditioning doesn't work the rat issue was my biggest issue otherwise me and my family had a great time

Great property ! Close to slopes , banner elk , Boone , and the blue ridge parkway. Great hikes , waterfalls , and amusements are all close by. Easy instructions for the running of the house and exiting as well . All around great experience. Would rent again in a heartbeat.
We got the last 4 inches before the end of the season .

Mountain Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was nice. The stream running under it was great for the children. The location was close to many things. The driveway was nice and flat. We would have appreciated a starter soap for washing hands. Really no complaints. We enjoyed the big deck. They need to remove the old lock system or let the renter know to use the one in the door.

The house looked nice but most of the interior doors did not latch and the there was mold in the baseboards of the bathroom. We shared the house with another family and it had plenty of space. Some of the beds were pretty uncomfortable but there was plenty of space for 10 people.

This house was in a good location for our needs. We enjoyed the house, but have a few suggestions. One - include coffee filters. Our normal filters did not fit your machine. Two - several of the doors need adjustments. They either were very hard to open/close or they would not stay closed. Three - living room area is very dark. Different lighting might help. Other than those minor things, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Perfect Location and very spacious

We loved this place. The pictures dont do it justice. It's better in person. It is older but does provide a roof over your head and heat and air and that is all that really matters.

House was in a great location for our trip. It fit our needs. There are some cosmetic issues in the house but nothing that would keep me from recommending a stay. We enjoyed the creek that runs across the property.

So convenient for the slopes

We had a great time! The house was tiny but somehow still had plenty of room for all 10 of us! The squirrel that hangs on a swing in the kitchen was the highlight of the weekend.

Great location

We really enjoyed our stay. The stream out front was beautiful and our kids enjoyed playing around it while we were there. The house was comfortable with lots of games and puzzles and the location was awesome. Very central and close to all the things we wanted to do and see. The house could stand a little updating/love with the master shower being tricky and just some chipping paint and wear around the house but all of that was quite minor. We would happily stay again.

Reality company handling property very responsive. Let them know about bathroom doors not locking and dusty under stuff, and they said they would be on. Property (especially the stream) very nice & the set up of the bedrooms is great.

Great ski trip

We took the kids up to Sugar Mountain for a few days to ski/snowboard right before Christmas and the house was a perfect place for us to stay. So close to the mountain and so convenient. We had a great time. Just wished the kitchen would have been stocked with a few more cooking items (no sheet pans or cookie sheets) but that didn’t stop us from having a great time!
