Nicht wie erwartet
Wir freuten uns auf die Meersicht wie auf dem Bild des Hotels abgebildet, aber war leider nichts, sondern es führte eine Strasse direkt vor unserem Zimmer vorbei. In der Nacht war es dementsprechend laut.

Unser Zimmer war modern und renoviert, in einem guten Zustand. Das Bett bequem. Der Pool war ebenfalls nett, der Bereich darum herum könnte attraktiver gestaltet sein (2 liegen, eine davon mit Wasserlache und unbenutzbar). Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, das Personal sehr freundlich und bemüht, der Raum aber zu klein für die Menge der Leute. Insgesamt empfehlen wir den Aufenthalt dort und würden, wenn wir wieder auf der Durchreise dort sind, auch wieder dort buchen.

Großes Hotel im Örtchen Bantry, nebenan befindet sich ein Kino mit günstigen Ticketpreisen. Fitnessraum und Schwimmbad werden auch von externen, zahlenden Gästen genutzt. Zimmer war groß und sauber. Die Klimaanlage haben wir teilweise deaktiviert, da das Gebläse sehr warme Luft in Richtung des Bettes wehte.

durchschnittliche Unterkunft
WIr haben das Maritime Hotel gewählt, da man von Bantry aus viel unternehmen kann. Das Frühstück aber war eher durchschnittlich. Da waren wir von B&B´s besseres gewohnt. Umsonst parken kann man in der Tiefgarage. Super gegessen haben wir fußläufig im Fish Kitchen. Eine Reservierung ist allerdings zu empfehlen, da das Restaurant nicht sehr groß ist.

central/main street passing in front of the hotel, but in the later evening there is less traffic. car-park easy, but low capacity later the day. If there is a certain number of rooms of the hotel booked B&B this means that these guests do want to have breakfast in the morning, so there should be enough capacity.

ist 5 Minuten vom Bantry House entfernt..
Ich war nur eine 1 Nacht in diesem Hotel. Was mir aufgefallen ist: eine kostenlose Parkgarage, die indirekt mit dem Hotelgebaeude verbunden ist, kostenloses WIFI, zentral gelegen. Im 1. Stock gibt es einen Balkon für Raucher. Das Frühstück kostete Euro 15,-.

So surprised at this place, did not expect as much as it had to offer, it was beautiful! Food was delicious, staff friendly, everything you’d expect from an Irish hotel. Breakfast was the best (apart from my sisters house) I’ve had on my whole three week trip, through various parts of the country. Pauline, my breakfast waitress was excellent, courteous, friendly and had a word for everyone she met. A treasure.

This clearly used to be a very nice and modern hotel but it now has a bit of a dated feeling; it's still ok but I wouldn't rush back to it.

Excellent Stay at The Maritime
We had a really enjoyable stay at the Maritime. This hotel has a lovely atmosphere. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. They took time out to chat with people and made you feel like a valued guest. Food and drink service were very good and not too pricey. We had a one bedroom suite which allowed us an element of self catering but with hotel facilities. This is a perfect base location for touring West Cork.

We had a wonderful time at the Maritime Hotel, especially at the bar where we lived the true irish experience with some local folks singing old irish songs. We highly recommend this hotel. Everything was just perfect !

Parking is across the street and underground. Rooms are large and ours had a lovely balcony. Breakfast was included. It really good with lots of choices. I don’t recommend drinking the tap water from the room. It has a brownish tint.

Easy to get to and walkable to local shops and restaurants. We had a second floor room that was on the roadside and was a little noisy. If you want a hotel that’s easy to get to with parking and a great location this is the place.

Poor on arrival. No parking available. Didn't get requested quiet room so awake till 1am due to function on first floor! No facility for eating in bar due to same function. Staff/service was very good. Play list bit too lively for 8am swim! Seaview was more a view of Super Valu across inlet. Room was comfortable.

The beds were very bouncy leading to a very disturbed night. It was incredibly windy for our 2 nights and the noise this caused through the window seals was equally disturbing
