Beyond the comfort of Jacaranda, Barranca is a natural wonderland waiting to be discovered. From quiet bushwalks and wildlife encounters to refreshing swims and evenings under the stars, some of the most memorable experiences are right on your doorstep.
Explore the trails
Follow the marked walking trail through open pastures, native bushland and pockets of temperate rainforest. Take your time, breathe in the fresh country air and enjoy the remarkable landscape that makes Barranca so special.
Wild swimming
A scenic 15-minute walk (approximately 1.5km) leads to a beautiful freshwater creek, where natural rock pools offer a refreshing place to cool off or simply sit and enjoy the surroundings.
Meet the animals
One of Barranca's much-loved experiences is the morning animal feed. Join our team around 8am to meet the resident Shire horses, donkeys and other farm animals.
Wildlife and nature
Keep an eye out for kangaroos, wombats, wallabies, echidnas and the extraordinary birdlife that calls Barranca home. The property is especially beautiful in the early morning and around dusk.
Relax and restore
For a little extra indulgence, in-villa massage and spa treatments can be arranged with our partner therapists. We recommend booking well ahead of your stay, as availability can be limited.
And of course, there's always the option to do absolutely nothing. Find a comfortable spot, open a good book and let the landscape do the rest.
