Thereâs something about a house thatâs not brand new that makes you feel more at home. Excellent location good size property with a lot of amenities. It was great for entertaining and cooking. will definitely be back.
This very clean, cozy cabin and beautiful lake front property had everything we needed for our Anniversary getaway. Jessica was great to communicate with for directions and anything else we needed for our stay. We especially loved how cute the cabin was with the nice deck for coffee in the morning and relaxing by the fire pit by the water at night. Sitting at the end of the dock was our favorite place to watch the sunset and gorgeous mountain views. We highly recommend this rental and will be back!
I booked this cabin along with the adjoining one for my 50th birthday celebration with my family and my brother's family. Both cabins were spotless and fully stocked, making our stay comfortable and hassle-free. The property itself is fantastic, offering breathtaking views and the convenience of a private dock where we could park our boat, fish, and swim. The water was crystal clear, and my son spent every evening fishing and swimming until darkâhe had the time of his life!
The drive in is on a rough road, so I recommend using an SUV, but it's absolutely worth it once you arrive. We had an amazing experience and would definitely stay here again.
This has to be one of my top adventures yet. The cabin was clean, cosy, provided everything we needed and the views from the deck were stunning. The lake has clear water and swimming off the dock was definitely a highlight. It is the perfect place to unplug from city life. The road there is an adventure all on its own with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. We canât wait to go back for a much longer stay.
Our trip started out rough due to running worn tread highway tires on the mountain road leading to the Cozy Little Cabin. We were about 6 miles from our destination when we ended up with a flat. I was able to crawl our way to the cabin slow and steady on our donut spare. Once we got to the cabin and settled in, we instantly fell in love with the place and the stunning views across Pend Oreille. Our Host Jessica reached out that morning to see how we were doing and I explained the situation. She went out of her way to help us as we were almost certain we would not make it out of the mountains on our spare. Jessica took me to Les Schwab via boat/vehicle before they closed on Saturday to ensure I had a good tire to help get my family out safely. She was very accommodating and went above and beyond to assure my family had the best time during our visit. My wife and kids enjoyed swimming off the dock and the kids were able to catch several fish which was a bonus. We will definitely be back in the near future. This setting has some of the best sunsets I have seen and we were able to watch the stars at night without fighting mosquitoes. Such a great vacation making memories that will last a lifetime. Thanks again Jessica for taking time out of your weekend to help a family in need. Cheers.
I booked the Cozy Little Cabin in Bayview, Idaho, expecting a tranquil retreat and daily visits to Silverwood Theme Park.
The VRBO listing stated the cabin was 1.5 hours from Silverwood and 45 minutes from Clark Fork. These times were significantly underestimated due to the primitive roads.
The host provided directions, suggesting an alternative route via Clark Fork. However, this route was a 26-mile journey on an unmaintained road, not clearly communicated, leading us to believe it was a quicker option.
Our trip, based on daily Silverwood visits, was not feasible due to the road conditions and actual travel times. We couldn't reach the cabin with our car, and even with an SUV, the journey to Silverwood or Clark Fork would have taken much longer than stated.
The host's response to our concerns was defensive, insisting the listing clearly stated the primitive road access and recommended a truck or SUV. However, the issue of inaccurate travel times was not satisfactorily addressed.
Despite several attempts to resolve the issue, including a refund request due to the property's misrepresented location and accessibility, we've yet to reach a satisfactory resolution. The host referred the matter to VRBO, but we've received no updates.
In conclusion, potential guests should be aware of the inaccurate travel times and challenging road conditions. We're still awaiting a response and possible solution to our refund request from the host.
Absolutely gorgeous spot. Shared dock but not problematic. They decided to perform maintenance on our cabin during our stay without any prior warning which we found to be both completely inappropriate and entirely inconsiderate. If it werenât for the way they choose to manage this property I would absolutely rent it again
We rented out two cabins for a friends trip and the owner had a laundry list of things that were not allowed to do. I understand that she is trying to keep her property nice, but we are also paying a lot of money to stay here. She also admitted to watching us and listening to all of our conversations over the ring camera when we were sitting around the camp fire (don't people have better things to do with their time?) This is a total violation of our privacy. She definitely cross the line. It would be different if she was only checking the front door but she took the time to sit there and watch us on camera. She was very rude and unprofessional and definitely should not be a host.
This is a beautiful place to hideaway and enjoy the water. It's remote and the route in is a little rough (make sure you follow the owner's directions! We learned on a previous trip in the area that Google can't be trusted on these forest roads), so don't expect to pop out to the store after you arrive. Highly recommend an SUV or truck on these roads. Once you get in, it's beautiful, clean, and perfect for a getaway. We had cell service and they have wifi. Helpful and responsive owners. Would return.
We booked this last minute for a short weekend stay and everything was perfect. The cabin was spotless and sits right there on the water. It has its own private dock which was so much fun to fish from. Jessica was beyond amazing with all her help in person and over the phone, always available to answer our questions and was even on site when we arrived to help bring our kayak to the water AND back up to our vehicle again when we left! Truly amazing! We definitely recommend coming here and we for sure will be back!
Jessica went above and beyond. Communicating either me fir months as I worked to plan our Sober agrad Bight celebration. Those celebrations are typical, but our plan and venue was very unique, made possible with Jessica's support and help. She was even willing to drive NY husband and i back to Clark afore as we ferried in the boat, truck snd cargo trailer. The kids had an amazing experience which they will remember forever, completely drug and alcohol free. It's def one fir the Clark Fork history books!
Everything was just perfect about this property! From the welcome s'mores kit, freshly ground coffee, beautiful location, & awesome host, we could't have asked for a better stay. Would HIGHLY recommend this property & hope to return again in the future!
We are adventure seekers who travel as a family to âoff the beaten pathâ destinations. We launched at Garfield Bay and arrived via a 21 foot boat. We have a high standard of expectation for the accommodations and the natural beauty that surrounds when we explore new possibilities. Cozy Little Cabin #2 sits 20 steps from the shores of Lake Pend Oreille. The boat access is extraordinary. The cabin(s) is so well appointed, modern, and attractive inside and out. If you love natural vegetation, trees, and a bit of rustic for landscape, and donât expect a manicured yard, youâll love this place. Your private dock (shared with Cabin #1 guests) allows for lounging, fishing, water sports activity, and the tying up of your boat if desired. There is also a protected lagoon for snorkeling, swimming, and sight seeing. The cabins are situated in a small community of dwellings at the mouth of Granite Creek where all people were courteous/respectful of the quite and beautiful nature of this remarkable place. The owner/property manager is attentive to your needs and works hard to ensure that you have a relaxing stay. You can hear the lapping of the waves on shore while laying in bedâŠ.. soothing for the soul!
We had the chance to stay here in early September and loved every minute of it. Jess is simply amazing! Check in was easy, she was great with activities around, fishing poles were standing by, and we had everything we needed. I would have expected bugs and stuff given the time of year, but we had none of that. It is VERY important that you note the road in is not for people who are uncomfortable on dirt mountain roads. But if you follow Jess's directions word for word, you will do just fine and have a great and relaxing time while doing it. 5 stars all around!
We had a great time! The cabin was perfect, it had everything that we needed and everything was really clean and seemed new. The dock and water area were really fun for swimming and playing in the water. It is a bit of an adventure to get there but we are already hoping we can come back next year!
This property is so gorgeous and provides its guests with a ton of privacy. We loved it out on the lake. Itâs quite possibly the coziest place Iâve ever stayed. Only bit of advice I can give is, pack for meals or you will do a ton of driving. We left on our honeymoon in a hurry, and we could have been more prepared for sure! Besides that, I will recommend this property to anyone and everyone who wants to spend a nice, relaxing weekend away from all the craziness. The host could not have have been accommodating if she tried! We will be back!
Our family of four really enjoyed our time at Cozy Little Cabin #2. We boated over from Garfield Bay boat launch which worked out really well. We brought fishing poles, kayak and paddle board and used all of it as this is the perfect location to enjoyed all things lake related. It is quiet and beautiful and the cabin had everything we could need. We will definetly book again for a lakeside getaway.
