Overall we enjoyed our stay. We picked this listing because of the little pond to fish in and the hot tub, both of which we enjoyed very much! Other than that, the house had the simple necessities but nothing more. The bed was comfortable and we could cook dinners on the cookware provided in the kitchen. There was a bit of disorganization and communication issues with the host. The cleaner was just leaving when we arrived at the house (host said we might need to delay our check in as we were on our way but then never followed up) & the host scheduled the water company to come by the house and didn’t inform us of that until the morning of, which we thought was strange. Other than that, we appreciated our stay and thought the simplicity of the house was charming.

We had a group of friends come and get together to celebrate a birthday, and this was the perfect spot. Very peaceful and quiet. Loved having the kayaks and campfire. And Tony was very responsive.

This place is very special but every corner feels unfinished.The jacuzzi is wonderful, but the lights don't work outside. The living room is lovely but there aren't full curtains, so there is no way to get the feeling of full privacy. There are empty shelves with piles of nails and other work materials in the open. The property lacked intentionality. Everywhere they had quick fixes that ranged from mindly annoying to potentially dangerous. The front door doesn't securely latch so it swings open and shut all night. The room with the bunkbeds has a hole in the wall that is covered with a piece of wood leaning against it that doesn't quite fit.The shower water smells awful and there was no warning about it. There is a hole in the bathroom wall. There are no amenities. It is very sparse house with the bare minimum on a beautiful property with a firepit and a lovely hot tub. As for communication, within 24 hours of booking my stay I messaged the renters with a request to change one of my dates, as I had made an error. This lead to a frustrating conversation which sent us in circles at every turn. As the day drew nearer and I reached out with questions nothing could get figured out smoothly. It became exhausting to get a simple question answered, and oftentimes they went without answering.Though they did always respond quickly—I would not return.

The property was clean. It was very dated, but I knew that going in. Communication with the property manager was excellent. The pond was nice. The only complaints I would really have was that the lights did not work around the hot tub and there was a bad odor that smelled like fried fish that Remained the whole time we were staying at the property

Overall, we were comfortable with the cabin and had a nice weekend. As mentioned by other guests, the home needs some TLC, but I guess the reasonable price reflects that. The hot tub was clean and lovely under the abundant stars and our dog loved the pond. The screened porch with rocking chairs was a relaxing spot to enjoy our morning coffee. The towel situation was pretty ridiculous. Two towels for two people for two days, especially considering there is a hot tub. If there was a washer/dryer it wouldn't have been such a big deal. Could definitely use a thorough cleaning, especially in the kitchen. And while rationally I know that the Sulphur smell is safe and fine, it's still disconcerting to shower in stinky water.

We had a great stay! Tony was very quick to respond to any questions we had. The house was very cozy and in a peaceful setting. Even though there are houses near by, we never saw anyone else. There's a privacy fence that blocks the view of the hot tub. So no issues using that! Just wish the pond wasn't frozen. We'll definitely stay there again!

Host sent a very detailed house guide, but a lot of the information was inaccurate I.e. where to find trash bags, linens etc. We weren’t given enough towels and were told to look in a locked closet that had no key. We only had 4 towels for 5 people. When we arrived all the beds, sheets and pillows were covered in little black hairs, probably dog hairs. The hot tub was a little green and overall the place was a pretty rundown, but worked fine for our girl’s weekend in the woods. We just tried to ignore the green hot tub water since that was the main reason we booked the place. The place could use some throw pillows and blankets and the screened in porch was in pretty bad shape. Do not stay here in the winter without an SUV. We got pretty heavy snow and there was no shovel to be found on the property. Luckily, the neighbors offered us a shovel and were able to pull my friend’s sedan out of ditch with their truck. Overall, it’s not a bad rental but could use some TLC. I highly recommend bringing your own towels, linens, toilet paper, and paper towels. There was only one extra roll of TP for a 4 day stay with 5 women, so we had to drive 30 minutes into town to get more. I would also avoid staying here if you’re sensitive to smells or not a fan of well water. The hot water wreaked of sulfur. We enjoyed our trip just fine, but would not rebook and probably would not recommend to others unless some serious upgrades were made.

Tony was an amazing host. The property was home-y and very spacious. Perfect place to accommodate 2 couples and 2 children (or adults who are children at heart). It was a nice little getaway in the woods with easy access to the town. If you’re looking for a place for some great R&R, this is your spot!

Its a very cute place in a quiet area. The hot tob was lovely to have. Just a stones throw away from a bunch of cute shops and local businesses as well as some beautiful hiking trails.
