« Staff very courteous and attentive. Room was very clean, quiet. Breakfast buffet excellent with scrambled eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, oatmeal and various breads and cereals. Dining area very clean with an attendant present the entire time making sure there were no shortages of food. I stayed at an Avid Hotel in North Platte NB which had the same high standards as here in Fort Stockton. »

« Van Horn étant une triste bourgade balayée par le vent, pas étonnant que son meilleur hôtel soit aussi déprimant, mais quand même. Tout est artificiel dans cet hôtel aux chambres assez petites, mal orientées à l'insonorisation insuffisante (pour un bâtiment quasi neuf). Mon voisin de gauche a laissé sa télévision allumée toute la nuit et celui de droite n'a pas cessé de ronfler, mais heureusement des boules Quies étaient offertes sur la table de nuit (!). Petit déjeuner quasi industriel. »
