The cabin itself was mostly great—clean, comfortable, and very much as described. The setting was peaceful, and overall it made for a relaxing stay. The screen in the fireplace needs to be repaired, as it was very difficult to work on only one side of the screen. The directions were also incorrrect. Do not turn left on Had——, stay on Max—- a few feet, then turn left and left again for unit. There were a number of small but frustrating & confusing issues throughout the stay, that should have been communicated by the management company, Vacasa, beforehand. It was confusing, with conflicting pricing between Vrbo and Vacasa, and multiple emails that didn’t clearly explain what was provided or what to expect. Basic questions (like firewood, amenities, and supplies) required multiple follow-ups to get clear answers. There were 3 separate instructions regarding check out, email, app, & a book in the unit, all 3 stated different instructions. During the stay, we ran into several inconveniences, including trouble getting the heat adjusted initially, unclear instructions for the TV/Roku setup, and a DVD player that didn’t work properly. Troubleshooting these issues took significant time, and support was slow, repetitive, and often lacked clear guidance. A maintenance visit was required to get the DVD player to show picture on TV, but there was no clear timing provided, making it difficult to plan our day.The biggest drawback was the experience with the management company,
