We needed a place to land after a long day of travel. It was just what we needed. Nice big open space for our group to eat and hang out. The pool was refreshing and the owners were a pleasure to work with. We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area!

Mel and Mike are wonderful hosts! They went above to make sure we had everything we needed. Very communicative throughout the entire process and the property is beautiful. So refreshing and relaxing to get away to the country! We stayed 3 nights for a bachelorette float and trip. The pool was cleaned daily, they made sure we had firewood, we mentioned we were making salads and they picked fresh veggies from their garden for us, and when the front porch became a popular hangout they brought up enough chairs for the entire group. The kitchen is fully stocked and handled every cooking/baking project we had planned. There were more than enough towels, blankets, and pillows, and the entertainment center was easy to use and logged into popular streaming apps. Beds were comfy (memory foam) and a group of young women all felt safe. This is a GREAT stay for animal lovers. We did not bring our dogs due to the nature of the stay, but would for a family vacation. Mike and Mel’s dogs are VERY well behaved and friendly. There’s also a sweet outdoor kitty cat that greeted us and hung out with us!!

Mike and Mel were absolutely wonderful! We celebrated our wedding at their beautiful home. I cannot say enough about these two people they are amazing. I definitely would recommend staying at their home. When we arrived, Mel came over to introduce herself and show us around their beautiful home. They may are special day very inviting if you were looking for a beautiful location that is quiet with scenery, and small town charm I recommend this place. They were very helpful and accommodating.

Absolutely beautiful home. Myself and a group of 15 men came to the area for side by side riding. Found this place and so glad we did. Amazing home plenty of room and parking for all our rigs. Melinda and Mike are the most amazing host I have ever experienced in a travel. They fixed our group a healthy breakfast and made sure our stay was amazing. Will definitely be back to this home for a stay in the future.

Communication was fabulous! Very accommodating! If you are looking for a perfect home, this is not it. If you are looking for the feel of home, clean, with all you need for cooking, comfortable furniture & beds, room to relax, hosting a dinner or family gathering then this is most definitely the place you want to choose. Other reviews mention the dogs on site, they are in a secluded area and the only time I saw them was when the caregiver has them out for walk. The home does NOT smell like animals like someone else mentioned. The home is clean & tidy. The kitchen is full of appliances & cookware! Outside is nice sitting area with a really nice fire pit. There are cornhole boards outside for use as well. Both front & back deck areas have plenty of seating. There are bbq grills available as well. A few imperfections, but isn't that expected anywhere? What were they? The outside deck is dangerous with uneven and loose boards making a trip hazard that 2 of our group tripped and almost fell on. There is no outside light to see where you are going on the front side which also caused a bit of a walking hazard, The dogs do potty in areas and with the darkness people can't see the "pile" and wind up with poo on their shoe! The flooring is a bit uneven in the home and we couldn't get the fireplace to light. These are minor in my opinion and the gracious host and all the comfort the home offers are what is important to me. I'd stay here again, without hesitation.

Fantastic stay!! Our group which included 4 adults and 4 children ranging in age from 3-12 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kids commented they were living their best life! We enjoyed swimming in the pool, relaxing on the front porch and by the firepit. Mike and Mel were attentive hosts and did everything to make our stay top notch! Each morning, we awoke to firewood that was split and laid out for use that night. Each evening the tiki torches were lit for fun by the firepit. Relaxing stay with room enough for everyone. The fur babies enjoyed romping around the grounds, and I appreciate being able to take all of the family on vacation.

This is a wonderful place to stay for some rest and relaxation. We were so happy to have a quiet and clean place to stay during a long road trip. The hosts, Belinda and Mike, are very nice and communicative. Highly recommend!

Owner are friendly...but this place is a working kennel with tons of dogs roaming all the time. The owners stay on the property in a camper behind the house and roam around the property as they please. So if you are having a cup of coffee be prepared to have dogs and cats climbing on you and ppl walking around. 2 of the bedroom smelt like urine so bad, it was overwhelming. There are so many flies all over the house. We did not feel comfortable using the pool. The owners we very responsive. Sorry I have never wrote a bad comment on and home rental place but this was disappointing to say the least.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Ozark Mountain Escape! There was plenty of room for our group of ten. The spacious living and kitchen area was perfect. The weather wasn’t ideal, but the rain gave us time to enjoy the inside activities and the firepit was awesome with the cooler weather. Mel and Mike were excellent hosts, responding very quickly to the few questions we had. They were even considerate enough to accept our very large grocery delivery and had it all put away when we arrived. They also were kind enough to show us an amazing river access that was very private. I would definitely recommend this home and hope to return! Our group rated it at the top of our vacations!

We tried this place out, after needing a place that was close to floating! Best decision ever! The country feel, the spaciousness of the house, the pool, dogs on property, and the hosts were amazing! Also, utilized their offer in cooking breakfast for us, best biscuits and gravy EVER!!! If looking for a relaxing location in the country, this is it!

We really enjoyed our stay here. There was a large deck, yard, and fire pit space that we utilized to enjoy company, play volleyball & badminton (we brought with us) and had a fire each night. The host are very responsive and showed us a great river access area that we enjoyed on 2 days of our stay.

The home was very clean and had everything we needed. If we asked for something Mike and Mel were very accommodating and made sure we got what we needed. They were wonderful hosts. The area and views were wonderful; lovely country home setting. The pool was nice and we enjoyed cooling off after our day excursions. The sleeping availability was overstated. It could sleep 6 very comfortably, and possibly 8 with roll away beds. We had 10 in our group and there were air mattresses available, but it may be better to have roll away beds that could be stored in the closets of the 2 bigger bedrooms. Then you don’t have to worry about air mattresses deflating overnight. The 2 bigger bedrooms were very spacious and could easily accommodate the roll away beds. Mel and Mike ,Thank you for being wonderful hosts. We really did enjoy our stay.
