This place is so nice! The apartment is small but updated and we have absolutely zero complaints!!! We only slept there! The pool is WONDERFUL and everybody there is so kind and helpful! I do suggest renting a car! It’s very close to the main strip but on hot days it could seem much longer! Also, with a car you can go to different beaches daily!! There is a grocery store literally across the street that has most anything you are looking for. The Oak restaurant is right around the corner (walking distance)! The owner is incredibly nice and easy to contact! He also has a local contact for anything you may need (extra towels, bedding, etc) Over all, phenomenal stay very reasonably priced!!!

This is my 28th visit to Aruba. It is safe, you can drink the water anywhere & there is always a constant breeze & endless sunshine, with temperatures between 26-28deg. My second visit to Wacamaya & now my forever home away from my Canadian home. It was by far the best trip ever. I stayed in Condo 1B. It was well furnished, clean with lots of new appliances.Even a new toilet! The Host Aloys is a super guy. Very fast response to any questions we had. He showed genuine interest in us as tenants. In the end of our 8 week stay here we felt he was like family. There is ample parking in this gated complex. I would highly recommend having a car. The occupants in the other units were very friendly too which added to the enjoyment of our stay. Already looking forward to returning in Oct/Nov.

Was overall nice, need a car to get to the beach However, cleanliness could have been better. The couch, which was used as a sofa bed, was not very comfortable. When we arrived, blankets were missing, but to their credit, they were delivered right away after we contacted management. Extra pillows would have been appreciated as well. Another inconvenience was that there was no washer and dryer available in the condo.

Would have been 5 stars overall, but there was a problem that left us with no hot water for the last two days (one night). Also the microwave didn't work (blown fuse?). Not sure if these problems were related. The Owner was very receptive and interested in getting the problems resolved. Arranged for people to come and deal with issues, but too late in our stay to fix things before we departed. Not the Owner's fault - just a matter of timing. Otherwise an extremely convenient, comfortable, and well-appointed unit. I would highly recommend it.

Wonderful stay!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property! Great location for our needs. The grounds were kept up well and the pool area was always clean. Loved having the use of beach chairs, cooler, and float all supplied with the unit. Owner and housekeeper very responsive and helpful with any questions. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Aruba getaway

We stayed at Wacamaya apartment for a week in July. The unit was clean and well equipped for all of our needs. It is located close to Palm beach and since we rented a car it was easy to get everywhere. The reason I deducted a star was due to loud traffic noise coming from the road. It was difficult to enjoy outdoor space. We could even hear it at night. Apart from that it was an enjoyable vacation and we'll certainly be back. Thanks.

Fantastic time

Magical honeymoon

We had an excellent time staying at this property. The pool area was recently re-done, which is nice, but we found the new foot surface to be very slippery for a pool area. Also, the jacuzzi water never got hot and lacked controls. Other than that, everything was great.

Perfect spot in paradise

From the moment we arrived to the condo, it was a perfect location and beautiful condo that exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect home base for a week of exploring the island with our rental car. The pool was fantastic and relaxing after a day out and about. We will definitely be back. 1st time in Aruba

1st time in Aruba and was a little nervous about doing it “on our own.” Turned out to be a great decision. The condo is secure and residents are friendly and the grounds are kept clean. Pool is a great beach relief with plenty of chairs and lounges. 2 outside covered grills to use at your pleasure. We personally saved a ton of cash grilling out dinner most nights. Jos was a great host and our stay in his condo was stress free. Car is required

Lock Box Fiasco

Condo, neat, clean and decorated nicely. Items of concern... 1) The key box is a nightmare. It sticks and after several attempts had to ask for help from someone else staying in the area. Then the door handle must be vertical in order to lock the doors. Need to identify which key goes to front/back door. Could not reopen the key box to lock the front door that opens to pool area. 2) Toilet should have a easier flush to accommodate elderly who don't have the strength to push in the square flush w/o having to use both hands, 3) Tried to reach out to Yanil through "WhatsApp" per the instructions in the booklet, but was never able to connect. 4) The TV in living room area never came on. 5) The ceiling light before bathroom needs to be much brighter. 6) Should have a rug in the entrances so someone does not slip and fall if they are walking around in their bare feet from the pool area. 7) Should invest in a 10X mirror that women can use while applying makeup, the mirror above the sink does not help. 8) Need to purchase a standard measuring cup for liquid, the white scoop measure cups in the top drawer does not suffice, nor do you have enough. 9) Should provide a few items for customers, salt and pepper, butter, mayo, mustard and ketchup so each customer does not need to purchase these items for one week stay. 10) Overall I rated this a 4*, however, the owner needs to invest and fix some of the issues at hand. I left one day early due to health issues. Thank you.

Nice condo

A little tricky getting into the unit. We are in our 80's and the bathroom is not friendly for us old folks. it wood be nice to have a small dish washer, but the hot water was great. we would certainly consider staying there again.

Read entirely then make your decision

This might have been a case of bad luck, sharing so you can make a decision for yourself. Communication with owner prior to arrival was smooth and timely. Upon arrival there was a strong foul odor in the unit. Looked over unit for old trash and ran water into drains suspecting sewer gas. After airing out the smell was still strong and nauseating. Decided to find other lodging and messaged owner. He responded several hours later saying he was in Netherlands and we should have contacted housekeeper directly per check in instructions, he had reached out to housekeeper but due to high season it might be next day before hearing back. fast forward 24 hours owner messaged back that his niece stopped by unit and noticed faint smell. I asked for full refund considering we needed to secure lodging during high season with limited availability. Owner messaged back next day the smell was gone and offered half refund of 5 day stay. Based on our experience you can decide if the condo is right for you.
