« If you're looking for a unique, fun and very relaxing place to stay, you've found it! We stayed in the main cabin in September 2025 and were thrilled with its rustic charm. We enjoyed so many activities both on the island and in the surrounding area which felt like a nostalgic step back in time. We really loved using the included boat to get to and from the island, for fishing, and to position ourselves for perfect sunsets on the lake. We also loved using the kayaks. « We stayed here strictly for snowmobiling with 4 guys who didn’t care much about amenities, the house was located close to the trails without trailering, driveway had a good spot for the truck and trailer. Easy driving distance to boondocks and local stores and gas stations. »

« We had a very nice stay at The Guides House and would not hesitate to book there again. The host was very accommodating and quick to respond when we reached out to him. The house was both clean and comfortable. We did have a little trouble with the lockbox but with a little perseverance were able to get it to work. A very positive experience. »
