Things to Know
A few things we would like you to know before you arrive, so your stay is as comfortable as possible.
🌡️ Colorado mountain homes are not typically equipped with central air conditioning. Thanks to the cool alpine climate, summer evenings generally range between 45° and 55°F. Opening the windows allows fresh mountain air to naturally cool the home, and ceiling and portable fans are provided for added comfort.
🏔️ Blue River sits at nearly 10,000 feet. We recommend taking your first day gently and drinking plenty of water while you adjust to the altitude.
🦌 Moose and other wildlife are common along the forest edge. Please enjoy them from a distance and keep dogs close.
🚙 Four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive is required from October through May.
