Cabin was perfect for our needs. It was fun staying in a true log cabin in such a picturesque area. The guest cabin was perfect for my brother, his wife, and their baby. Our niece enjoyed the bunkbeds. It was her first time with a bunkbed. lol. she thought they were very special. My mother as well as us were on the first floor with no steps. It all worked out very nicely.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Fernwood home. It was spacious and had that cozy log cabin aesthetic we were hoping for, surrounded by beautiful scenery. The kitchen was well-equipped with most of what we needed to prepare meals when we decided to stay in. Location-wise, it was perfect—close to our Mt. Hood destinations and just a short drive to both a convenience store and a grocery store.There were a few minor issues worth noting. The ice maker didn’t work, most of the drawers were tricky to open due to worn-out guides, and the upstairs bathroom had a cushioned toilet seat with cracks that made it a bit uncomfortable and questionable from a sanitation perspective. The WiFi was very slow—fine for basic use, but if you need to work or have high internet demands, be aware of that. One of the remotes had dead batteries, and one curtain had fallen off the wall.None of these were deal breakers for us, but the property could definitely use a little more TLC. That said, I’d still recommend it—and would consider staying again if the location fits our future plans.

Nice place

Lovely time there. The guest house was perfect for a young couple with a baby. The outside setting is great hangout spot . I would suggest a better dinning room set that fits at least 8 people . There were only 6 chairs, 4 with correct height, there other 2 were too low. Thanks

Bachelorette getaway!

My friends and I rented this cabin for a bride-to-be and had a very fun and relaxing bachelorette trip. This cabin is perfect for a small/medium sized group. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, cookware, cutlery, etc. The beds were comfortable, the vibe was cozy, and the hot tub was super roomy and relaxing! I’d stay there again.

Paradise in the Woods

Breathtaking, well equipped, and peaceful are just a few words to describe this cozy home in the woods! This property made my family and I feel instantly at home. There was never a time of worry or a time of needing anything because the house provided all necessary amenities. The location was perfect and gave us the feeling of seclusion although there were neighbors scattered around. This home will hold a special place in my memories and I will definitely be returning in the future! 10 out of 10!

Lovely Getaway

Overall very comfortable property surrounded by tress in a very nice setting. We had a very good time with our friends, 8 people total. We appreciated the extra space with the 2nd unit in back that was recently built/updated. Unfortunately the power in the neighborhood went out for over 12 hours which meant that there was no running water, no ability to flush the toilets, as well as no light or cooking capability. The property was not outfitted with working flashlights or candles so we had to go out to buy theae things. The PM was responsive and gave us a refund for part of our stay which we appreciated. The internet is extremely slow and many of the light fixtures had bulbs that were out or lights that didn’t work at all. Other than that, it was a lovely get away!

Cozy with good mountain access

Worked perfectly for 3 families, 3 kids, dog. Great common areas, plenty of space inside and out, and an easy drive top to skiing and sledding. We had to notify iTrip once about a minor issue and it was resolved easily within about 45 minutes

We just wanted a big storm so we could get snowed in!

We liked the location, in general, as it felt secluded but we were near enough to enjoy Timberline Lodge and other beautiful spots. The fireplace was our “magnet” and with an abundance of wood that we picked up, we had many hours around the fire, putting together puzzles and playing games. We found the second cottage a great asset!….being able to also cook there and organize Christmas surprises! PS the “main lodge” complemented the esthetics of our natural decorations ( oranges with cloves, etc.) on our humble but big tree! Add music and an abundance of warm lap blankets provided, and call it a pretty perfect family celebration!

Excellent Cabin

We stayed at an excellent cabin in the woods above Brightwood, Oregon. We would highly recommend it for all, including families with children. The cabin was comfortable and felt like a home not just a rental. Definitely a five star rental.

Cozy getaway

Loved the big space that fit all my friends for my birthday weekend. The space was clean, had plenty of throw blankets and towels, good yard space for games setup and kitchen was fully equipt. They didn't have enough deck chairs but we made it work. The included guest house was a nice addition so that i could get some private quiet time. For the price it was a great deal andwould highly recommend

Great place to stay

The cabin is spacious and the backyard is peaceful. Close proximity to everything we wanted to see. Overall it was a great experience. Be prepared to unplug though, we had very limited internet access. It made it difficult to plan for what we were doing the next day or unwind in the evening with a movie.

Not clean

The main home was decently clean but none of the dishes were actually clean and had very few kitchen supplies. The second smaller guest home was dirty, there was mold all over in the shower, the roof leaks from the skylight all over the couch. There’s mold in the closet and the sink had food all over in it when we arrived. The hot tub was murky and had debris in it. The few towels in the guest house were dirty/stained.

WiFi Woes

The internet did not work at all, therefore neither did the version of cable called Roku. Checked in Thursday, Called/Texted everyday about it, had a team member come Saturday at 230 pm mentioning he had just heard of the issue, also the lady at iTrip who told us she didn't have time to sit on hold with the internet Company, I guess her time was too valuable to do that Unresolved was given a 100.00 refund on my 1600 + bill. Not good. To be clear this is my first review in a negative light as I have stayed in others and was more than pleased.

Great stay!

My husband and I had such a lovely stay at this cabin. It was so relaxing and everything was super clean and well-stocked. Our only complaint was the neighbor’s kids were kicking up a bunch of dirt into the air while riding on ATVs one day, but that’s not the owner’s fault. We would definitely be back!
