« It is an adequate hotel if staying near Washburn. »

« The convenience of being close to the event center wasn't worth the price of the stay. Double the price of other top rated Topeka hotels, rooms are clean but very outdated, wallpaper peeling off walls, bathtub old/stained. The rooms all being open to the center bar area makes it very noisy, paper thin walls, you could hear everything. The breakfast buffet was $12/person, and it had the same choices that every other hotel offers complementary. Very cool courtyard, but not worth it, wouldn't stay...

« The room was clean but had wear and tear. The toilet handle had to be held down to fully flush. The walls and ceiling had a lot of dings and dents! We were in room 104 on the ground floor and could hear the people above us. The breakfast was hot and okay. However, the attendant did not keep it fully stocked. « Our room was great! However, the hot tub water was green with brown ring around tub! The room was clean and nice! But they definitely need to fix this place up! Front doors of hotel left open day and night! Needs a paint job badly and fixing up! The complimentary breakfast was not very good! Limited choices! We booked for hot tub, if we would have known it was in this shape would have went elsewhere, but we couldn’t get a refund for room! This is not up to a Marriott standard hotel! »

« The hotel is going through renovations so the lobby area was a little disorganized with building materials around and also in the parking lot. Room was fantastic and has been upgraded and well designed. No carpet a very big +. All the staff were very pleasant and professional. I would most definitely stay there again and recommend to others. »

« One thing we didn’t like was that there are no “Do Not Disturb” signs to place on the door for housekeeping. We had to notify the housekeeper directly. Luckily we found her in the hallway to let her know. And hotel is located on a major street which has a lot of traffic noice and sirens until very late at night. »

« There were only two luggage carts and neither was available when we were leaving. I don’t know why so many hotels have this problem. Are carts that expensive? I travel a great deal and it’s the first thing that I look for because I have two heavy suitcases and a cart makes a big difference »

« Breakfast was less than average and very expensive for counter service. Don't call it granola if all you do is break up a commercial granola bar. Oatmeal was poorly cooked and unexplainably expensive. Shower, on the other hand, was outstanding, but hallway inside room is too narrow to bring the luggage cart in. Also lighting in bathroom and sleep area is very weak and not useful. »

« I don't understand the average review rate... My room was strongly smelling cigarette even if it is supposed to be non-smoking room and it was not that clean. At the breakfast there were no more eggs and regular coffee. The only employee I saw seemed too busy to take care of all these details. The AC was so so. I understand it's under renovations but they don't even seem to try to make up for that. On the positive side it was quiet until about 7:30 when the construction workers started. ...
