Ein tolles Haus mit unschlagbarem Ausblick

Wir haben eine wunderschöne Woche auf Madeira verbracht. Die Lage des Hauses mit dem Ausblick aufs Meer ist atemberaubend! Der Hanglage ist es allerdings geschuldet, dass man 58 Stufen von der oberen Etage zur Poolebene hat. Somit bleibt man fit und hat kein Problem mit der Waage ;) Die Kommunikation mit Emma und Quim war super, unsere E-Mails wurden immer direkt beantwortet. Das Haus hat reichlich Platz, die Ausstattung ist zum Teil etwas einfach, aber es hat uns nichts gefehlt. Die Betten sind bequem, die Zimmer haben eine gute Größe, der Pool fantastisch! Es gibt 6 Schlafzimmer für je 2 Personen, wobei es sich bei 1 Zimmer um ein Durchgangszimmer handelt, es somit kein Fenster hat, das glaube ich nicht in der Beschreibung erwähnt wird. Für uns war das kein Problem, weil wir 10 Personen waren. Also zusammenfassend ein tolles Haus mit wunderschönem Ausblick, sehr zu empfehlen!!

Our stay was fantastic from start to finish (we were a group of 6 friends). As mentioned in the listing, it’s really two apartments (connected by an outdoor set of stairs). The top apartment has a huge living room with fantastic views and plenty of sofas, a large kitchen with everything you would need to cook meals (as well as a big table to sit at) and 3 bedrooms (two double beds and a room with 3 singles). The second lower apartment also had a kitchen as well as living room area with a pool table and dartboard (great for evenings in), as well as twin room and double bedroom. To top it all off a large pool area with lots of space to sit around and also with spectacular views. Outside there’s a BBQ and a great swing-seat which is ideal for watching the sunset.Emma and Quim are great hosts, always there to answer questions, resolve any issues and providing clear instructions for meeting them to check in (as well as tips on the local area). If you are looking at the listing, do not hesitate to book as it’s absolutely fantastic and ideal for a large group of adults. We’d love to return one day.

My family truly enjoyed our stay in Arco da Calheta. The hosts, Emma & Quim were so kind and welcoming. They gave us wonderful local suggestions, including visiting a town festival…which was definitely a highlight on our trip! We loved the ability to spread out between the two levels of the home. The pool and rec room were fun additions. The location was great for our activities, like the Fanal Forest (a must see!), sunny beaches in Calheta, exploring seaside villages, the banana museum, and dune buggy rides. We felt well cared for and comfortable in this rental home!

Huge property with amazing views and great facilities.

We had a wonderful time. The property is lovely with fantastic views overlooking the banana plans and the owners are wonderful. They couldn’t do enough for us. We had a few teething problems with Wi-Fi and they immediately had someone around to fix it. They were so attentive. It’s a lovely place that’s quiet restful and relaxing. There weren’t any negatives to highlight. Our group did hope to be closer to a restaurant or a little bar that was walking distance. The one beside the villa only opens once per week. However l, there was a great gym nearby along with hiking trails and we could drive down to Calheta within 10 mins. Overall, I’d highly recommended this place for families and friends alike. Really well set up and an absolute pleasure to spend time at. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. We hope to be back very soon!

Fabulous property for group of 10

Excellent property, well equipped. Kids enjoyed the games room, beautiful views, pool delightful although a bit shallow Quim and Emma great hosts and whole family x3 generations enjoyed fun night out with them in a local bar near by. Layout worked really well for two families as two separate floors meant you could retreat a have your own space if needed. The local fish restaurant ‘Leme’ recommended by Quim & Emma was excellent, we ended up going twice. A great holiday and great fun.

Absolutely fantastic villa! Highly recommend - 5/5.

We were delighted with this villa - it was luxurious, the bedrooms spacious and comfortable, the kitchen well equipped with everything you could ask for, including a coffee machine, panini grill, indoor pizza oven, and large fridge-freezer. Even the ice cube tray had been filled for us. The annex was also well equipped, spacious, and very comfortable. There is more than ample indoor and outdoor seating, catering for both those who like sun and the shade. The pool is gorgeous and there are plenty of loungers with cushions provided, and two large umbrellas for when shade is required. I cannot express how fantastic the views are from this villa - they are absolutely breathtaking- and the lounge area has a large window one side of it so you see the views every time you walk into it. The games room was well equipped with pool table and darts and provided good entertainment in the evenings we stayed in. The villa was immaculately clean, and it was a huge bonus that beach towels were provided. The beach nearby is lovely and sandy and there is a supermarket nearby which is very convenient. The owners, Emma and Quim, live in the villa upstairs and were so incredibly helpful and responsive whenever we needed anything, or had questions to ask about where to eat, and were able to book taxis for us at a discounted rate. Would not hesitate to recommend and would certainly stay here again. Thank you for a lovely holiday Emma and Quim!

Belle maison spacieuse idéalement située

Séjour très agréable en famille, vue imprenable, maison spacieuse et idéalement placée pour visiter Madère. Les hôtes sont discrets mais a notre écoute pour rendre nos vacances des plus agréables. La piscine a été très appréciée particulièrement pour les enfants et aux retours des visites et randonnées. Fantastic stay at Casa Vista do Ledo

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Vista do Ledo. The property is spacious, clean and very well equipped and the view from the villa is out of this world. Quim and Emma were excellent hosts and Quim was always available to help with anything we needed. We also really appreciated the Poncha that they brought us to sample. Calheta is a brilliant place with two great beaches with safe swimming which was perfect as we had young children with us. It was also an excellent base for exploring the island. We hope to return soon!

Vriendelijke en goede gastheer, inrichting in orde en problemen werden voorzover mogelijk direct opgelost. Kopjes en borden ed was voor boven en beneden moeilijk uit elkaar te houden. Was allemaal verschillend , van alles en niet één lijn. Bij het zwembad zou ik in de breedte nog een extra afscheiding plaatsen, wij hadden het nu afgebakend met ligstoelen. Onze kleinzoon van anderhalf is geen zwembad gewend en erg onderzoekend, moesten hem steeds corrigeren. Verder een prima verbllijf en kan het aanbevelen. Erg mooie plek voor een vakantie. Great trip in Madeira !

This villa is pretty nice for a big group of persons. We were 11. Actually, the owners are living just above the private part of the villa that is rented. The house is really well equiped : toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, detergent... Quim is really friendly and available for any request or question ! The view is gorgeous. A most welcoming place to stay the hosts couldn’t be more helpful and friendly to us all.

Easy, clean and enjoyable place to rent and stay in. Pool and area very clean. Great location with bars restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Walk to local town achievable via paths and main road. Supermarket nearby. Facilities clean and usable. View knock! Lots to do, visit, boat trips, walks, markets, shops, local beaches, water parks, whale watching. Hire a car or use local taxis and support local businesses hosts will sort out for you. La maison correspond parfaitement au descriptif : au calme, très bien située, avec une vue superbe. Elle est propre et super bien équipée. Les literies sont bonnes. Le propriétaire est très arrangeant et serviable. Disponible et parlant en anglais donc très confortable. Nous reviendrons!!

Les propriétaires sont très arrangeants et disponibles en cas de questions. La maison est spacieuse et accueillante! Les lits très confortables! Ma ville est du côté ensoleillé de l'île! Nous avons profité d'un merveilleux séjour!

Wonderful piece of paradise

The house is well set up all extras you could ever need a real home from home Setting is stunning ! Waking to a sea view over banana groves is breathtaking. The pictures on the page don't do the house justice it's huge ! Room after room is discovered. The games room was a huge positive ! And the pool is wonderful. This side of the island is hotter than most and we only had a fleeting drizzle one day. You are a little out on a limb and definitely need a car to discover the best of the island but the roads are so easy to navigate and we'll signposted so don't worry. The house is clean with all amenities needed it is a little tired in places but it has real charcater and if 2 families are travelling together it's perfect as you can holiday together but still have time apart. The beds are amazing so comfortable.

Spacious villa with fantastic sea views in a lovely part of the island

I stayed at the villa for a week with 10 members of my family. We had a wonderful week and were sad to leave! Emma & Quim were extremely helpful and responsive to messages ahead of our arrival (and during our stay). Miguel met me at the villa and arranged for a local taxi driver, Nelson, to take me to the supermarket before the rest of the group arrived. Nelson is absolutely brilliant and took us on a great tour to Porto Moniz one day - stopping to show us several view points on the way there and back which we wouldn't have known about otherwise. The villa is extremely spacious, very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The views from the balconies and pool area are spectacular. The pool isn't heated but we used it every day we were there (in October) - you just have to be a bit brave about getting into it! Having two kitchens and two living rooms plus the pool area and game room meant that there was plenty of space for us all without it ever feeling crowded. The neighbours are lovely - we got talking to the people who live over the road and they recommended things to do locally - including the trip to Porto Moniz which was one of the highlights of our stay. The villa is located in a small village called Arco da Calhetta - there are a few shops and snack bars about a 12 minute walk from the villa (the local supermarket there is very small but has the essentials and some fresh fruit and vegetables). Calhetta is about 5 minutes drive away. It took us just over an hour to walk down there one day but it's very steep and there is no pavement so it would be better to drive if possible. We didn't even think about walking back up! The local supermarket in Calhetta is much bigger and had everything we needed. There are several restaurants in Calhetta - we had a fantastic meal on our last night there at the Savoy Calhetta Beach Hotel (Onda Azul restaurant). It's well worth a visit. There's also a restaurant at the other end of the hotel that has tables outside by the beach and serves nice ice cream. We took a public bus from the village (the stop was 20 minutes walk from the villa) to Funchal one day. It cost 4 Euros each way and took 1.5 hours but it was well worth the longer journey for the scenery - the public bus takes the coastal route through all of the villages rather than through the tunnels. I would love to return one day and I would be more than happy to stay at this villa again.
