Very nice lake home with great accommodations
Each bedroom had a bathroom connected. Nice quality outdoor furniture and grill, fire pit. TVs in all bedrooms. Great kitchen with all the necessities. Nice host quick to respond to questions or needs.

Such a amazing beautiful place, very clean, kayaking was amazing have never done that before. Had a couple questions and they were very quick to respond. No other houses close by it was very peaceful, went to onyx cave from the book on kayaks. Also went to the castle at haha tonka park that was neat. If your looking to have a good time but be able to relax also this is the place. Promise you wont regret it.

Beautiful place
The Norton House made a fantastic home base for our visit to the total solar eclipse in southeast Missouri. The house was extremely clean and comfortable, has everything you could need for a relaxing getaway. The lakeside area included in the property just cannot be beat. We had a wonderful time and cant wait to visit again!

Springbreak get away!
This was our first time to Lake of the Ozarks, and we had a great time ! The home was clean and had a beautiful view of the lake. We saw several deer and lots of birds, including a Bald Eagle! The kids really enjoyed the games in the clubhouse, kayaking, and basketball. We loved the fact that the home was a close drive to Ha Ha Tonka state park, Bridal Cave, and waterfront restaurants. Great as always
This was our 8th year visiting the Norton House. It is such a magical place with all the space you could need for a group of friends. Plenty of bathrooms, a nice big kitchen, dining, and living area. The outdoor space is perfect, with the fire pits at the house and down by the lake. It is very serene and peaceful. The hosts are great and responsive. We had a wonderful time as usual!

Kayaking was the very best. Lake was quiet. The beds were comfy. Information provided was great. We would have liked to know more about the elevation of the area as we both have bad knees. Beautiful place. Wonderful views. Saw the sunset from the patio one night and one night from the deck. Got to see the cave and the sunrise while kayaking. The kayaks were very dirty and we did spend quite a bit of time clearing the one we used. It would have been nice to have had that done for us. Overall a wonderful stay.

Peaceful,Relaxing and clean
I have stayed at other places and they were always nice but this place is well maintained, very clean and comfortable. I could not get off the back deck. Its view of the lake is so beautiful. The owner is quick to respond and so kind. If you’re looking at this…..get it. You won’t regret it. Thanks Ward for renting me your piece of paradise.

Quick Getaway With Friends
We had a great time at the Norton house. Our original purpose for coming to the lake was for a concert at the Ozark Amphitheater. When I saw kayaks were included in the stay I knew this was the place for our group as we are avid yakers. Accommodations were very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect. Kayaking to the Ha Ha Tonka spring and onyx cave (about 6 Mile round trip) kept us busy before the concert. Our only complaint is not being able to stay longer! We hope to return soon. Thanks Barb and Ward for your hospitality.

August heat
The Norton cabin exceeded my expectations. You walk in and the aroma of cedar envelopes you. The decor and furniture are all comfortable. The kitchen had almost everything we needed, although I did have to sharpen the kitchen knives as they were beyond dull. We made use of both the BGE for an amazing brisket and the offset smoker for pork belly burnt ends. The use of the clubhouse was fun just wished the dock was closer. The water at the dock was not the best for swimming, it was very hot and slimy. We decided to go swim at ha ha tonka instead. Not the owners fault I know the weather has been very hot, but if your used to running off the dock and jumping in the water, probably not the best location for that. Otherwise we made the best of our trip and look forward to coming back to the lake soon.

Hi Creighton, I'm very happy we exceeded your expectations and glad your family had a wonderful time! Based on your comment about brisket and burnt ends I'm guessing you are quite the BBQ connoisseur and appreciate finely honed knives; thanks so much for putting the edge back on ours! Indeed, August of '23 was a very hot month with 30 days of upper 90's and 100's raising the Lake temps to nearly 90 itself. I'm glad you mentioned swimming at Ha Ha Tonka park as that cove is fed with 24 million gallons per day of underground 55 degree water mixing with the Lake so you have 85 degrees for the top foot of water but the lower half of your body is in cool, spring fed water. Ha Ha Tonka spring is a great place to swim in the hot month of August, only a few miles away from our house....Ward & Barb

This property was perfect for our family - 6 adults and a baby. Lots of bathrooms and bedrooms - air conditioning worked great since we were there during some very hot days. Loved the access to canoe and kayaks. Access to boat dock for boat rental was so convenient too. Very quiet and so enjoyable.

Summer Vacation
Cannot express how amazing this property was and the overall hospitality from the owners to bring us water and ensure all was well after a nightly storm created a loss of power for a few hours. I work in healthcare...to say the least I am a "germ freak" and this place was immaculate! The views and the overall ammenties are well worth the spend. If you are looking for a quiet place, full of beautiful million dollar views of the lake...book this house. We plan to retun next year and will adjust our dates if needed to ensure this properties availability! Thanks again to the owners for being there and checking in on us! You both are amazingly!

Excellent hosts/excellent stay
Barb and Ward were fantastic communicators answering all questions about property, things to do and accommodating our vacation ideas. We hauled our boat from MI and they helped us with everything needed. The house was perfect for our family. We loved the club house, used the kayaks every day, enjoyed campfires, dinners on the picnic tables, food on the grill, breakfast on the deck overlooking the lake. Our adult children and 2 grandchildren made the drive and were very glad they did! We stayed at The Norton House and highly recommend you do too!

Our family had the best time at this charming cabin on the lake. So many fun activities, we went kayaking and roasted marshmallows by the fire, a perfect place to enjoy nature. Perfect place to meet family
We were looking for a respite that could accommodate 7 and two dogs (with permission) and had great lake access and amenities. This rental was absolutely perfect. The kitchen is well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed floating on the lake, paddleboarding, kayaking, paddleboating, and visiting the cave. Nearby Ha Ha Tonka State Park was fascinating. We also enjoyed Bridal Cavern and Stark Cavern. The hosts were wonderful to work with. I would easily recommend this gem of a getaway to anyone looking to go to the area.

The Perfect fit
This was simply the perfect fit for our family. The home had all the amenities you would expect to find at your own house, and every time we returned it felt like coming home. The owner was a delight to deal with and was quick to respond to any of the questions that we had prior to our arrival. Once there, we found everything just the way it was presented and there were no surprises. And the setting, wow! You are situated on a bluff at the edge of the Lake of the Ozarks where you can sit on beautiful deck furniture and watch the world float away. The kids even took time to check out the kayaks and paddle board. Just the peaceful getaway we were hoping for. If I have the opportunity to be back in the area again you can be sure this will be our place to stay.

Highly recommended
We brought our 2 teens and family dog for the week. The owners thought of everything we might want to enjoy our stay. The only things that we needed were our clothes and food. The house offered everything that we needed to cook, bbq and relax. We went hiking in HaHa Tonka in the morning, kayaking I n the afternoon, then kicked back at the club house for the evening. The views of the lake, forrest and vineyard were lovely. It was a great vacation.

This place was amazing!! It was sooo easy to take advantage of all the amenities that are offered. located near state parks, local Retail and THE WATER. The house was on a bluff over looking the water. Awesome views are all around. Barb and Ward were very easy to work with and are very accommodating. We were aloud a little extra time to play on the property after check out was completed. Would definitely recommend and we will return for sure . GRAET PLACE!!! Thank you so much for your hospitality!! I can’t tell you how amazing this place is you have to see it in person to truly understand thanks again for a wonderful vacation.

The Norton House does sit high over the lake and has a great view from the back deck while sipping your morning coffee or afternoon beverage. You can either walk down the concrete driveway to the lakeside park (about 200 yards or so) or drive down if you like. We hope to see you again! Ward & Barb

Amazing view, private park!
The Norton house is an amazing property that's an unbelievable value. It's right on (above) the lake with an outstanding view. The house itself is great, with excellent beds and bathrooms. The kitchen is well-stocked with up-to-date appliances. The downstairs bedroom is its own suite, with a couch/living area. The amazing thing is that you get not just the house but a "park" down the hill by the lake. It's got the dock with the free kayaks, numerous sitting areas, a firepit, three disc golf baskets, and tons of room for kids and dogs to play. You also have access to the up-the-hill clubhouse with tons of activities, including a working skee ball machine! We enjoyed our time immensely and will definitely be back!

A lovely, comfortable home with wheelchair accessibility. Close proximity to HaHa Tonka was a plus! Wonderful view, fun clubhouse, pleasing deck, even a bottle of wine waiting for us. All in all, a great stay! (We would only suggest providing recycling bins for guests.)

Love this place!
This is the second time we have rented this home for a friends trip. Ward and Barb are the best hosts! This home has everything you could want including fun activities to do on the lake. Perfect for peaceful fall getaway
We stayed in mid-October and it was wonderful. The lake was beautiful and just turning colors. House had everything you could possibly want for a week-long stay. Too cool for swimming but we paddle-boarded & paddle boated. Very peaceful. Do not miss Ha Ha Tonka State Park -- very short drive or a kayak ride away. The Donut Palace in Camdenton is good too.

That view!
Loved the location. The other properties we looked at all had the same view...the lake, but obstructed by multiple boat slips. Loved being able to sit out on the deck and just soak in the serenity. We had a go at the kayaks (new adventure for me), and were pleasantly surprised at how manageable it was. All the necessary gear was in the shed at the waterfront. Overall, we had a wonderfully relaxing time!

We tried something different this trip, somewhere unknown. Me, husband and 11 year old were willing and rewarded with the gift of experiencing ourselves in new ways. No agenda, we all had room to explore together or separately. A magical place to observe nature, resting or being active, relaxed and playful. Perfect Family Escape
Our family enjoys Sugarloaf Vineyard cabins and all of the many amenities! A beautiful location on the tranquil side of the lake. Close to restaurants, wineries, golf, family fun activities. We rented both cabins for the 2nd year... and we will definitely be back.
