It made a great base for visits to Florence We drove about 20 mins to the centre of Prato and took a 30 minute train journey into the centre of Florence just €20 return for four of us. « We specifically chose this place for the hot tub and sauna/steam room. The hot tub was broken the whole time we were there they said they could drain the water and replace but wouldn’t be ready for two days because it has to have time to warm up. Not sure why this wasn’t done ahead of time instead of it just sitting there. We were going to be checked out before it was fixed so we were sol. The A/C in master room was broken and I contacted host with no answer. Called support and they advised me...

The location inside the remnants of a castle is remarkable, and the view from Monsummano Alto is spectacular. We also had a fantastic dinner at La Forresteria restaurant right on the mountain top. »
