I grabbed this rental so my family of 5 could enjoy a wonderful getaway. With all 3 of my kids in college it was a great opportunity to get everyone together in the same house away from distractions. The intent was for my wife to cook homemade food for the college kiddos to enjoy since that isn’t something they get often. Also,we would play board games as a family and really just enjoy our time together.
So we arrived at the house around 5, and it was a steamy 85+ degrees in the house. We followed the house AC instructions and could not get the house to cool. After a frustrating hour of sweating and trying to get the house to cool, we contacted the property management company, but they did not respond. We opened every window and turned up the fans and basically camped out. Woke to the same situation but finally heard from property management around 9am. Since it is the end of summer in Texas, staying in a house with no AC is just not reasonable. We made fast plans to head out for the day since we couldn’t be in a sauna while cooking and enjoying family time together. The property mgmt people notified us at 4pm that the blower motor on the AC had been repaired and the house was finally able to cool down. Being away from the house all day, we had already made dinner arrangements. So upon returning to the house at 8pm that night, it was indeed cooler. Tried to call and allow them to make this right, no response.
The remaining day of the trip was fine. House was cute & clean.
