This beach inspired 2 bedroom home is freshly remodeled and features outdoor dining with BBQ plus a detached, quiet, private “Zoom Room”/Office where you can conduct business while away from home.
Note: This rental is the back unit and has its own separate entry from the front unit.

This home is professionally managed. We are a friendly team of folks who look after this beautiful property while the owners are away. We ask you to keep in mind, this is a private home which the owner retreats to. We simply ask that you respect & take care of the property as if it were your own. Let that love flow.
**We are available to you for standard check in times should you require any assistance from 4pm - 6pm. For after these hours we may be available for emergencies only and only then via Airbnb message app. We apologize if this causes any issues, but please consider this ahead of booking. We are just a 5 minute walk to the beaches of Carlsbad; 15 minute walk to Carlsbad Village (a less than 5 minute drive)
Coastal Rail Train passes less than 500` away from us and it can be heard from the house.
Carlsbad`s beaches are incredible -- there`s surfable surf, soft sand and so much access the beach. With an upper and lower paved walk running miles along the coastline, you`ll have trouble deciding whether to run or walk, go to the beach or lunch or shopping, or just stay in and people watch! Carlsbad is home to shopping and great restaurants. There`s also Legoland and the Museum of Making Music and the farmers market every Wednesday afternoon. San Diego is close by with its wealth of attractions including San Diego Zoo/ Wild Animal Park, Balboa Park, USS Midway, craft beer scene, wine tasting, and so much more.
Depending on your itinerary while in town, you can either rent a car or many guests rely on Uber and Lyft which are always available within minutes.
Note: We have a train that does pass by the home (less than 500` away).

NO REFUNDS - Even the best or newest home has equipment that may occasionally malfunction and cannot be guaranteed operational 100% of the time. We promise to act immediately to remedy any issues, however, we do not relocate or issue refunds due to malfunctioning equipment or any other guest dissatisfaction or due to construction noise or any other items out of our control, unless the home is considered uninhabitable.
- All rentals with 28+ nights require a rental agreement signed naming and identifying all adult occupants (must present valid ID).
No one likes rules, least of all, us -- but we do have a few requirements so that the home is in as perfect a shape for each guest as possible. -Please respect check-in and checkout times. Check-in: 4pm-10pm. Checkout: 10am -Primary renter must be over the age of 25, have a fully verified profile and previous positive reviews inside the booking platform. -The maximum occupancy for the property may not be exceeded at any time. -Host may request a photocopy of renter`s ID for verification before check-in. -This is a private property and the host reserves the right to access the property at any time to perform maintenance repairs necessary or requested by the renter. -Maintenance schedule: we are unable to offer refunds or credits for inconveniences due to scheduling and maintenance done during your stay. We also request that our maintenance teams are not turned away if they should overlap your stay. Such instances can result in a $100 penalty as we will still incur a `show up` charge, even if no work is performed. -Absolutely no parties or loud music. -This is a NON-SMOKING property. -NO animals or pets of any kind are permitted at the Property except (1) as specifically authorized in your reservation, or (2) bona fide service animals that we are required by law to allow. Emotional support animals are not permitted except as authorized pets. You agree that a prohibition on animals is not a guarantee that an animal has not been inside the Property or that the Property is free of animal or pet allergens. If pets were to be brought without our consent and knowledge, guests will have their reservation canceled immediately.
Late Checkout Policy Guests must check out by the designated checkout time specified in the rental agreement. Late checkouts without prior approval will incur fees to cover costs including, but not limited to, waiting times for cleaning crews, canceled or delayed cleaning appointments, hardships on arriving guests (e.g., delayed check-ins or compensation), additional wear and tear on the property, and increased utility usage (e.g., electricity, water, or HVAC). The fees, based on the duration past the checkout time, are as follows: • Less than 1 hour: 10% of the nightly rate or $100, whichever is greater. • 1-2 hours: 15% of the nightly rate or $250, whichever is greater. • More than 2 hours: Full nightly rate. To avoid fees, guests are encouraged to coordinate with us in advance for late checkout requests. Approved late checkouts are subject to availability and may incur additional charges as agreed upon. These fees are designed to compensate for disruptions to property turnover and operational costs, and we will provide documentation (e.g., cleaning schedules, guest complaints) upon request to ensure transparency.
Additional Cleaning Policy Guests are expected to leave the property in a reasonably clean condition, consistent with normal use. Any cleaning required beyond what is considered normal or reasonable, as determined by the property management, will result in an additional cleaning fee of $100 per hour. This fee covers costs such as extended cleaning times or specialized cleaning needs. Examples of excessive cleaning needs include, but are not limited to, excessive trash, stains or spills requiring professional treatment, pet hair in non-pet-friendly units, or other conditions requiring significant labor. We will make every effort to accurately reflect the additional work needed and the time required to complete it, providing documentation (e.g., photos, cleaning logs) upon request to ensure transparency.
Important Fee Disclosure for Long-Term Stays (30+ Days): Should this property be reserved for 28 days or more, we reserve the right to apply additional monthly fees to cover certain ongoing expenses (eg utilities) not included in the standard nightly rate. These may include, but are not limited to: • Gas and electricity • Water and sewer • Trash and recycling • Internet and streaming services • Other utility or maintenance surcharges applicable to the home which will be known prior to the time of booking These fees may be assessed as either: • A flat monthly fee, or • A fee calculated as up to 5% of the monthly rent. Such fees may be collected directly through the booking platform or invoiced separately as permitted by the booking platform policy. For estimation purposes, please assume an additional fee equal to 5% of the monthly rent unless otherwise specified in advance. Quaint Beach Cottage
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in this property. It had all the amenities we needed including outside areas to enjoy. We especially enjoyed the beach chairs, towels and umbrella and the short walk to the beach.

Lovely home
My brother and I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. My doggies loved the yard and we both enjoyed dining outdoors on the deck. The kitchen is well stocked, beds are comfortable and house is very private. The location is fantastic! Communication and check in/out process was super easy. Very kind people. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful time. The house is on the smaller side as advertised, but really comfortable and convenient. We loved it. It was perfect for just my wife and myself. Real close to the beach and Carlsbad village. The beach chairs came in handy and we hope to be back soon. Note: the train is indeed close and a little loud but you get used to it. We really enjoyed the entire experience.

Great home away from home
We had a fantastic time in Carlsbad, the area around this property is beautiful, the beach is just a short walk away. We loved the house, it was quiet, comfortable and very clean. We used the BBQ in the backyard and enjoyed the deck as well while my son played on the rope swing. We will hopefully return one day soon and recommend this to anyone travelling through the area.

Perfect Beach House
This place checks all the boxes - it was updated, clean, easy to get to and a 5 minute walk to the beach. It's also just south of Carlsbad Village and all the restaurants, etc. that the Village has to offer.
Even though it is the back unit on the property, I'd say it is even more private than the main house. There is a great outdoor sitting area that is quiet and a really nice place to hang out.
I wish I could have stayed longer!
