Fast, good communication before our trip, met by the lovely owners on arrival. A wonderful house in a beautiful peaceful location. House spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well equipped. Thank you so much!
We genuinely enjoyed our stay in this fantastic home. The view was amazing. The snorkeling is some of the best we've ever experienced, and we do plenty of snorkeling. The water in the front of the house is very kid friendly. The people here are truly warm and welcoming. Come stay if you can!
The house is fantastic! It had everything my family needed for an amazing vacation. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind. We canât wait to return!
Tarpon House has as an amazing location and is very well finished. It was extremely relaxing staying there - quiet and calm, with the Milky Way filling the sky every night.
We loved this house and the hosts Brian and his wife (that happened to be on the island and dove with us one day at Little Cayman Divers dive boat). The location of the house was just what we were looking for...close enough to a small resort area but still gave us a feeling of solitude. The house was lovely and well stocked with a very nice master suite and two bedrooms where my sons and significant others stayed. We ate all of our meals on the screened porch looking at the small waves lapping on the beach which was truly mesmerizing. Sunbathing on the non-screened porch or in my sonâs hammock I was in heaven. After an after-dive nap we would take our motor scooters (Bruce's Scooten Scooters) and go either directly across the island or down the road to, my favorite because of the beach, Point of Sand -- both excellent snorkeling sites. We lucked into buying fresh fish on the island and were able to eat well with the two suitcases full of food we brought to Little Cayman combined with buying mainly fresh produce and essentials at the one local store. The kitchen was well stocked and they had a lot of nice touches on the house. This is our fourth stay at the island (over the last 14 years) and this is our favorite place we stayed.
Everything was perfect! Anything we needed was taken care of immediately with Marc. We all enjoyed our holiday and hope to be back someday.

We just completed our stay at Tarpon Lake House and found it delightful. The house was impeccably clean and as beautiful as the pictures present. Very open and bright with great views from all the rooms. Brian and his team were very welcoming and responsive to any questions we had. We happened to catch a windy week but the natural reef in front of the property provided a nice barrier that still allowed for fishing and kayaking. Thanks Brian, Marc and Neil!

We recently spent a week a on Little Cayman with friends and stayed at The "Tarpon House. It turned out to be one of our best vacations ever. Little Cayman Island is so unique, easy enough to get to from Grand but certainly that less developed island you have heard about and hoped for. However at the same time there are plenty of small quaint resorts to visit for lunch, dinner or drinks. Food at all of these spots was wonderful, lots of fresh seafood and salads, shaded porches with vistas to gaze at. Typical days started with a snorkeling adventure somewhere around the island although we frequented the Blood Bay Wall, and Jackson's Bite multiple times. Imagine swimming out off the shore and then watching 3 foot rays swim by 40 feet down , we saw a 5 foot sea turtle one day gnoshing on the turtle grass, tropical fish galore . . . almost spiritual. We snorkeled everyday sometimes twice. After the snorkeling we often had a libation from our cooler in one of the covered rustic cabanas built on the beach "Live Fully" see if you can find that one.
Most meals at night we cooked in, there were a number of couples and we all shared the duties, which made it really fun . Leave a bit of time when you are on Grand to head to the super market and bring some foldable coolers as Brian suggested. The supermarket on the island had a decent selection. There is also plenty of fresh fish , conch and lobster to be found on the island too, we had it all.
We had some great meals, and Tarpon house is made for entertaining , big open floor plan, with a killer screened in porch, so cool to hear the ocean crashing on the shore at nighttime under the moon. Three big bedrooms and if you are lucky enough to draw the straw for the master suite , it is one beautiful spacious retreat. The views are phenomenal from the property.
I cannot say enough good things about this vacation , the Tarpon House, Llittle Cayman, and Brian , who was a delight to deal with, although we never had to once we were there.
There is a TV too , not sure why we never turned it on.
Book a week we will be back, this island paradise recharges you for sure.

There are no words to truly express the beauty, tranquility & serenity we experienced at this beautiful property on a wonderful island....but I will try.
1st of all the owners provided for everything you could possibly need in terms of a house as well as a thorough and detailed list of instructions and guidance, such as what to bring(swimsuits) and not to bring(pants).
Secondly my wife absolutely fell in love with the gorgeous Carribean aqua colored theme throughout the home, especially the beautiful floor tiles which âlook like flowing waterâ.
You sit on the patio, the screened in porch, the great room, the master bedroom or the dining room and marvel at the beauty of the sea . The breaking waves lull you to sleep at night or just put you into a trance as you rest after a morning swim or kayak/snorkeling adventure.
The locals are incredibly helpful and friendly and everyone knows Brian, the owner of this amazing home. Brian by the way is readily available and responsive to any further questions you may have, such as â is it possible to extend our stay?â đ
The home is beautifully furnished and quite comfortable, central air gives you respite from the mid day heat and sun and the sea is only steps away from your own private, very private, beach.
We had never been to this part of the Carribean and cannot say enough good things about the island, the home, the owners and the local people we met.
This home is ideal for families or just groups of friends looking to chillax and reconnect. The home has attention to detail and virtually everything is taken care of.
You will absolutely marvel at the sunrise each morning and the star filled sky each night. You will not miss the news, tv or other trappings of what you may have left behind for this excursion to paradise......I urge everyone to come to this beautiful home as soon as you can!
My wife I took a short trip to Little Cayman not really knowing what to expect. This is was the relaxing get away we were looking for. The house is very nicely set up and can accommodate 6 people with zero trouble. The owner and island team get you prepared for island life and what you will need well in advance of arrival; food is the main item to really take care of in advance of landing. Sitting out on the deck was very relaxing, not a sound and the stars are amazing.
The island has some great beaches, reefs for diving and snorkeling, and fishing; I will be prepared for fishing next visit.
I highly recommend this property for families, friends or romantic get aways.
A beautiful peaceful place. Clean, updated house, great for a family or group. See the sunrise over the beach from the master bedroom or screened in porch. Walk out the back door to enjoy your personal beach. Snorkel or kayak the gorgeous blue Caribbean water without leaving the property. Charter a boat and go fishing and eat fresh tuna caught earlier that day. Relax in the quiet, tranquil environment. I highly recommend that you make a visit.
The decor in the house is so soothing! Entering, I felt myself instantly exhale and relax. The open floor plan of the kitchen is light and airy, overlooking the screened in porch (love this!) and the ocean, just beyond. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything we needed to cook freshly caught tuna for dinner! On a rainy night, we really appreciated having access to streaming video on the TV, so we could chill on the couch and turn on a flick. So nice to leave the windows open at night in the bedroom, when it's cool, and listen to the waves crashing on the reef, just off shore. The AC was very appreciated as well on hot days/nights!
We only had two people, but thought this would be a perfect house to bring our kids back next time with us! The guest bedrooms have ample closet space, nice queen size beds, and access to a full bath. The master bedroom is huge and gorgeous! Big shower, 2 sinks and a full size washer and dryer, which was so appreciated so we didn't have to pack dirty clothes on the way home!
The house is a short drive into town and the lovely local restaurants and dive shops there. The snorkeling and diving on Little Cayman is amazing! The reefs are JUST off shore, so there are plenty of opportunities for shore dives, snorkeling or very short boat rides (maybe 15 minutes) to the MANY dive sites.
Even on days when we weren't walking the beach, diving, snorkeling, checking out the local flora and fauna, etc., just chilling in the house was so relaxing. Reading a book on the porch, listening to music or just the sound of the surf ... Heaven!!
Definitely coming back!
December 26, 2018 - January 4, 2019 was our first visit to Little Cayman... and decidedly not our last! Tarpon Lake House was lovely, the photos on HomeAway really donât do the property justice! The entire home appeared to be fresh, and we understand this was not the case a short time ago. By all accounts, the property owner has spent a good amount of time getting the home in shape. The care and forethought put into the details are obvious. The home was clean, the furnishings we very nice, the linens were âjust like homeâ. The kitchen is well equipped to make cooking easy. There was plenty of everything!
Back to the subject of location, the view from the patio is amazing, to sit outside and watch the Sunrise was an activity our entire family enjoyed! The grounds in general were inviting, the arid gardens, full of succulents and flowering plants, truly a treat for the eyes! The proximity to the waters edge was fantastic!
The location felt very secluded, however, a short trip was all it took to get to towns center. We also explored the island on a daily basis. We chose to rent scooters, that, for us was a good decision. We were looking to foster teamwork with our young adult family. The scooters seemed to do the trick.
The guest resource book was extremely helpful, very detailed and all information was reliable. Thank you for your thorough summation and the ability to troubleshoot our potential needs. The guest book was a great idea! Mark the property manager super great guy! Mark was very kind and willing to assist as needed.
No true negatives!
All in all, fantastic experience!!! Thank you for making your home our HomeAway! We would definitely be your customers again if you would have us!
