We had a wonderful stay at this property. The owners go way above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need and more. The property is gorgeous and so relaxing. The property is maintained meticulously, and the attention to detail for guests is unmatched. All of the activities available were amazing and they had everything you could need for them. Debra went through all of the surrounding food options with us, and although we didn’t have time for any meals, we did stop at chickenbutt donuts. What a cute place and the chicken butt donuts were a hit with our new gamecock and all of her friends for game day!

(Kids free) Our stay was so relaxing it was my husband birthday weekend. We were enjoyed quiet time. Our trip was wonderful with memories to carry us through life. We got up early to explore the town slept the afternoon got out at night. This was such a treat to experience the wonderful view. I will be visiting again. Hosts was great and attentive.

We loved our 8 night stay. The hosts have thought of everything you’ll need. They are delightful and so kind. We felt welcomed our entire time. They went above and beyond to make sure that we had an excellent experience. The blue room was great. The bed was super comfortable. The view from our room of the lake was fantastic!The entire property was well maintained and beautiful. We sat on the dock and watched the sunset almost every night. We watched a sunrise too. They have many things to do on the property. Everything you see in the pictures and more! There are lots of areas all around the property to rest and relax too. We felt blessed to be a guest there. We plan on renting this room again AND hopefully renting several rooms to bring family with us too. We will return! We highly recommend this rental!

I reserved this room for our son and daughter-in-law while we stayed in the cottage with the grandkids. They said it was a beautiful room with lots of space. My son had to do some work remotely and was very comfortable working from here. They said they loved the patio and all the games, pool, hot tub, and kayaks and are already planning another trip. Stay March 2025

We recently enjoyed our second stay at Island's Sunset on Lake Murray, and it was just as wonderful as the first. The location is fantastic, and Debra and Dennis are incredibly gracious and friendly hosts. They kindly heated the pool for us when we wanted to swim, and they also accommodated our schedule for a boat tour to view our newly purchased property from the water. Whenever we're in town overseeing the construction of our new home, Island's Sunset will be our go-to choice. Debra and Dennis truly make you feel like part of the family.

We had a wonderful stay at Island Sunset. We came from my sons engagement party at the Sailing Club The host Debra and her husband were wonderful , thorough and very accompanying The property was immaculate and beautiful. We plan on staying there again when visit Lake Murray.

BEST VRBO in Chapin SC

Debra and Dennis were without a doubt the BEST hosts for our brief weekend gateway to Chapin! The location is nothing short of amazing and they are wonderful people! I’ve traveled to 56 countries and 23 states in my time and have NEVER been treated more kindly than we were during our stay! Debra and Dennis are so attentive to detail and made the stay that much better! The property is HUGE and we never heard either of them or their two pups Butterscotch and Tucker! We will be back!! You will not be dissapointed if you plan your stay here on the lake!

Perfect Getaway!

We are a couple who love to travel and find great places to make great memories. The Island's Sunset Master Blue Room on Lake Murray is a perfect place to stay for a perfect getaway. This was our second stay on the property, and we hope it will not be our last. The room is spacious, pristine clean, and has very comfortable accommodations. The hosts have provided all kinds of extras from beach towels to coffee and snacks. On site, there are multiple fun, water activities, and the view of Lake Murray from the room (property) is relaxing and peaceful. All other needs (ie: grocery store, restaurants etc) are within easy driving distance. But, honestly, we didn't want to leave the lake -- it's lovely. Last, the property grounds are filled with flowers and fountains. It's a wonderful place. Met all our exceptions and more. It is VRBO at its best.
