Everything in the area is incredible, the people, the food, the fishing it is all amazing. The location of the house is great with the store next door and canal you can fish in right outside. Seeing the dolphins swimming in the canal is a cool experience as well.
We were a group of 6 guys from Texas and Louisiana. 2-24' Bay Boats. Great camp with lots of history. Close to boat ramp and store with fuel and ice. We had a great time again as we rented the same camp the previous year. Tony is always on point with communication and his place was spotless.
My wife and I love the camp. We want to feel that bayou kind of living with the conveniences of a vacation property. This camp feels like you are visiting your good friends who have grown up in the property. Tonyâs family are well known in Cocodrie as living here for generations and being good people. We look forward to our next stay.
Perfectly located with launch, dock, frozen bait, and boat fuel right next door. The camp is well appointed with anything you need. A family camp with history here going back generations really immerses you in the local culture. If you love fishing and enjoy all things Cajun, including amazing food, this is the place for you. Host is very responsive and helpful. And we loved the screened-in porch when taking a break from fishing! We plan to be back!!
We stay in Cocodrie every year in October, 1st time staying here. Camp is fully equipped with everything you may need and extremely clean. Google to play radio outside. Weather didnât cooperate with us and it was very windy. We took boats out Friday morning but with wind and cool front we didnât get any bites. We came back and fished off the docks the rest of the weekend. We caught drum, hard head catfish, and a few nice reds right off the dock. Store located right next door was convenient. It was 7 of us and I was a little concerned about only 1 bathroom but it worked out perfect. Owner checked in before and during stay to make sure everything was good. Will definitely stay here again.
We booked a last minute trip to fish right after the hurricane. Tony worked so hard getting the place ready and making sure we had everything we needed. Loved having the king beds and they were very comfortable!
The property was nice, clean and appropriate for our family and simple fishing. Dock out back is in shade and was great during hot days. Caught redfish, trout, shark, sting ray and more catfish than we can count. Great location where it is quite but next door to a little store and live bait. We ordered from the coco marina restaurant a few time. Not great, not bad, but very easy when we were tired. Boiled fresh shrimp multiple times. The burner that is furnished does not fit the tank, no matter why the host saysâŠ. Gentlemen next door from the store helped us by trying g to hook it up but loaned us his. Super nice people.
I will recommend this place 10x over! Hands down the best experience we couldâve ever had in Louisiana! We plan to rerent the property in the future! Tony is very helpful with anything you may need! Needless to say my children, husband and myself didnât want to leave!
First I'd like to let you know that Tony is a great host, and communication is easy and fast.
The property is nicely renovated, and right on the water. We've been coming here for years prior to Hurricane Ida, which damaged this and pretty much all properties in the area. This is our first time back since Ida. Tony's done a great job with renovations, and the area is recovering nicely. Great people all around, and right beside an awesome little store with tons of history.
The property was clean, prepared, and as described. We had a great time.
This place was very comfortable and had everything we needed to make great meals. It was close to the marina and we caught a lot of red fish. We will definitely return in the future.
