Best cottage ever
Susan made us feel like family! The cottage was adorable and just right for our stay to visit grandbabies. The location was perfect for traveling around for different activities and coming back "home" to rest. The breakfast...well, absolutely incredible. Even though only one of us is gluten free, the pastries were so good, that we both enjoyed them. And who doesn't love fresh, warm pastries delivered in a picnic basket every morning. We will stay each time we come back. Thank you!

Excellent place to stay for Pikes Peak Ascent!
Cannot recommend highly enough! This is a well kept cottage adjacent to a Victorian inn. The innkeeper, Susan, is an incredible host. She brought us made-to-order baked goods every morning of our stay, and even made sure that my race-morning breakfast was runner-friendly (high carb, low fat etc). Check in and check out was a breeze. The property is old (in a charming way) yet clean and well maintained.

Nice little place
We had a nice time in this little house. It was clean and tidy. The host was very polite and helpful. She went out of her way to make our stay pleasant. The lack of TV made it fun for us to play games and talk in the evenings. Our only gripe was the lack of a shower. Us women were ok with sitting in a bath, but the men in our group did not find it to their liking. Other than that it was a great time.

Delicious!
Cute cabin in a beautiful back drop of the mountains. Short drive to Pikes Peak and short distance from Manitou Springs and Woodland Park. No TV and is away from the highway so is very quiet and peaceful. The food was the best! Susan makes the best scones and other treats! you can have in the room or grab and go as we did. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay
We enjoyed our visit to this cabin. It was close to Pike's Pike and Colorado Springs. We loved the commentary breakfasts we got. All the muffins were delicious. It was nice not to have to figure breakfast out as we started our day. Our host even made us cookies to take with us because we couldn't find the coffee. We enjoyed them as we traveled to our next destination. They only thing we might have wanted was a standard tub and shower. We also enjoyed the remote controlled fireplace.

The ladies were the perfect guests. We enjoyed hosting them and meeting them. In the future, however, we don't allow guests where the person who reserves isn't staying at the property with the others.

Photos don’t do this place justice
This little blue house was an adorable and cozy place to stay. It is roomier than you can tell in the photos and nestled in a beautiful mountain neighborhood. My daughter and I stayed here as a getaway for our birthdays. Susan greeted us with birthday signs on the door and a card for each of us with delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies on the table inside. The baked goods and fruit that were delivered each morning was so special and so yummy. I highly recommend staying here and would come back again without question.

Great place for a quick getaway
Wonderful little home with a fantastic host. We wanted to get out of the city for a couple days and this was the perfect spot. Having homemade baked goods and fruit brought to your door in the morning was such a treat. Plenty of stuff to do is just a short drive away. We would stay here again and look forward to seeing the larger Victorian bed & breakfast that the are restoring on the property.

Delightful birthday weekend in the trees
My childhood friend and I celebrated a milestone birthday at this delightful cabin. We were impressed by the cleanliness, the attention to detail, and the kindness of the owners. The beds are comfortable with plenty of plump pillows. The bathtub is divine - we recommend buying the inn's bath bombs to complete the experience. (There is no separate shower, so plan for in-tub use of the shower attachment.) Breakfast is a joy - meticulously prepared and presented, perfect for outdoor dining on the small deck. The cabin is a short drive to delightful Manitou Springs, with dining and shopping options. I'm already imagining our next trip here. Huge thanks to Susan and family for sharing their delightful property.

I find myself reading the notes you left each morning in response to the breakfasts I home baked for your family each day… (yes – I save them as I do from all of my guests) “Thank you for breakfast - it was delicious” “Thank you very much for the breakfast - it was very delicious” And the note you left in our guest notebook “... very tasty, very clean and comfortable…. We really enjoyed everything else…” And I try to reconcile this with the one star rating you have given our cabin. This is the first time a guest has not given us a 5 star rating and I am trying to understand. I do have neighbors as we live in a neighborhood. Sometimes the animals that share our mountain trigger our neighbor’s pets… but it is rare. As far as cars… I’m at a loss for words. Air Conditioning - people come up to our mountains to enjoy the fresh air through the open windows… that is seen by many as a benefit.

Perfect Weekend at Columbine Cabin!
This was a charming cabin for my mom and me. I always look for a place that is special when trying to find lodging. This exceeded my expectations because the owner made us a delicious breakfast basket of homemade muffins and fruit. She offers extra breakfast options for an additional price, which we did take advantage of when we ordered her crustless quiche. Yummy! She also accommodates food requests since my mom had some major dental work. The owner left a personalized note with the morning breakfast baskets, too. We loved this historic Columbine Cabin that is close to tourist attractions, restaurants, but the best part was having such wonderful hosts who make your stay very special with homemade breakfast delivered to you each morning and who have thought of everything you might need inside their quaint cabin. Such a perfect weekend! I will definitely return!

Can’t wait to come back!
I couldn’t be happier with our trip! Having yummy breakfast delivered every morning was the icing on the cake! Susan’a hospitality is unmatched! We loved having the option to buy extra breakfast, desserts, bath bombs, etc.. My kids devoured their breakfast every morning so we always ordered more. The bath bomb in the jacuzzi tub was a hit with the kids! The scenery is amazing. We loved the location being conveniently right in between Manitou Springs/Old Colorado City and Woodland Park. There is SO much to do in this area, especially with little kids. Susan had great recommendations that made the trip even better. Can’t wait to come back in the summer and go to the North Pole! The house itself is very cute. It had everything we needed!

Best experience anywhere! You won’t find better or accommodating hosts. These folks are tops! Beds are comfy. All amenities were well thought out. Jetted hot tub so relaxing- next time I’m getting one of her bath bombs!. Close to local attractions without the hassle of lots of crowds . Good place to wind ( And wine) down in the evening. Close to Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs. So much to do here plan for at least 3-4 days if you can. Nicely secluded. Hosts made sure we took advantage of local sites and gave us the inside local scoop on tips and tricks! They even reached out to alert us to traffic issues and more. I can’t say enough nice things. Bakery goodies and fruits were all fantastic and got us off to an nice start. So yummy!! And buy some treats to go! Thanks Susan and Kevin ! USAFA Parents Weekend GEM
This was an amazing stay for us over Parents Weekend at USAFA. It is about 1/2 hour away but so easy to get to. Susan was WONDERFUL to work with. Communication was fast, friendly, and factual. We didn’t take advantage of her breakfast basket the first morning as we were leaving very early, but be aware, that she will deliver the night before if she knows in advance. Her baking is outstanding - scones were delicious and hot right out of the oven, served with beautiful fruit kabobs. Be sure to take advantage of her fruit smoothies for an additional charge - definitely worth it to round out an amazing experience. The property is super clean and beds are very comfortable. Our cadet said he had the best sleep ever. Thank you Susuan for making our weekend even more special.

Susan was amazing from the beginning of the stay to the very end. She supplied us every morning with homemade pastries. When ever we needed something, she was on it immediately. Not to mention the view of the mountains and almost being up in the mountains where the cottage was located. It’s not isolated, but that didn’t matter one bit. The neighborhood was amazing. We will definitely rent from her husband and herself again. It was quite an amazing stay and vacation.

Awesome!!!
It's hard to beat the location of this property. It's a quaint little place with everyplace you would want to visit within 10 - 15 min of driving distance. Susan is an amazing host, her baking is amazing and it really felt like I was living at a friends place rather than a rental! Will definitely return!!!
