Our only issue was the cleanliness of the bedding. we had several stains on the sheets and pillow cases. In the defense of the property owner, we did not address this with them so they did not have an opportunity to correct the concern. It was late when we noticed the stains and we were only staying in the cabin for one night.

A really adorable cabin that was cozy and comfortable. The two covered porches are very large and you will find yourself sitting there most mornings enjoying a cup of coffee! The property is clean with large fire pit that can sit friends and family around on those cool fall days. Inside the kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom is exactly what you’d expect from a wood cabin with beautiful hardwood floors throughout and a special mention to the mattress that will keep you comfortable all night. I wish I had this mattress in my home as I live with chronic back pain. I can honestly say I woke up most mornings with little pain! Also, we loved the bear theme throughout the house. The owners have really gone above and beyond to make the cabin a place you will enjoy! The road you turn on to get to the cabin is very tight and most places someone will need to pull to the side to let the other car get by. It is only for about a half mile and was no problem but something to be aware of. Just go slow and you’ll be fine. Honestly, it adds to the fact you’re getting away from it all! We enjoyed our time there!

We stayed all day at the cabin and did not venture away. Beautiful outdoors with calming creek sounds. Nicely appointed cabin met all our needs. We cooked our meals on the BBQ. Lovely experience!

Great Place to Stay in Cosby

My brother and I recently traveled to the area for business and personal reasons and this cabin was perfect for our trip. It was more than spacious for the two of us and could have easily accommodated 2 couples with children. The cabin was super clean and was situated on a nice piece of property. What I loved most was how quiet and peaceful the cabin was. It gave us the much needed serenity to recharge after our busy days. The added amenities like the TV, WiFi, fire pit, BBQ and hot tub provides much to do for anyone who decides to spend more time at the cabin than we were able to. The communication between the owners and I was excellent and Christine was genuinely interested in making sure we had a good stay. I would love to stay here again and I highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to stay in Eastern TN and the Smoky Mountains area.

Perfect for the weekend

Perfect accommodations for a quick weekend away. Reservation process and communication with the host was smooth and informative. The VRBO description was 100% accurate. It was obvious the owners take great pride in maintaining this location. The cabin and hot tub were VERY clean! Kitchen was well stocked for cooking - exception of not having a full size coffee pot, just a Keurig. No complaints - mentioning only for awareness. Plenty of blankets and towels readily available. The cabin was very spacious for its size. The neighbors are close in proximity so not as private. The area was quiet and peaceful. Since our stay was brief, we did not get to take advantage of all the amenities. Will definitely consider staying here again for future trips to the area.

Perfect getaway

We needed a quick getaway to recharge and this cabin was exactly what we were hoping for. Everything was clean and comfortable-very well equipped kitchen. Hot tub was great, rooms/beds were comfortable. Location was great if you’re looking for something remote and away from the craziness of Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge but close enough to easily get there.

Peaceful and Perfect

My family and I stayed at Southern Comfort and enjoyed every minute. The cabin was very peaceful and clean. Check in was so easy and Christine was easy to get in touch with. The cabin was completely furnished and is located in such a beautiful setting. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Tennessee.

Comfortable cabin

Southern Comfort cabin was perfect for our girls only getaway! It was close to everything we wanted to see and do in Cosby, yet settled away from the main traffic, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The whole cabin was pristinely clean, not a speck of dust or dirt anywhere, and was decorated with charming bird and bear decor. We had plenty of room for evening crafting and watching tv, comfortable sleeping arrangements, and a well-equipped kitchen. In the bathrooms our host even thought of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, which many hosts don’t bother with. The towels were plentiful too! We were very pleased with our home-away-from-home for this week!
