Everything about property is excellent except for: a) F&B - very much below average b) Travel Desk - virtually non existant and of no help in organising any local sightseeing.

Good hotel for relaxation

Clean, spacious room. Big outdoor swimming pool. The surrounding around the pool area is nice and relaxing. However, the water was not clean enough and I didn't see any temperature control on the pool, so may not be a good idea to swim in the winter.Staffs in the hotel premises are friendly and well behaved however I found the staff in dhaka reservation office inefficient and lacks manner. Loved the hotel's food as well and that is the only option for dining here as there is no other restaurant nearby. They offer complimentary movie show in their mini theater room for the room guest in the evening. This place is totally isolated and so you may get bored if you stay for more than a night. The sea in front of the hotel is not good for swimming.

Nice hotel but far from city

Hotel is newly built 5 star but still many work on progress yet not officially opened. Staff behavior is like 2 star hotel they have to learn how act in 5 star hotel. Pathetic service. No welcome & welcome drink at arrival no vallet parking available. I think they still on trail basis. My suggestion to everyone to go after official opening ceremony.

Hotel is perfect. Problem is communication from ..

Hotel is situated in Inani which is 24 km away from cox's bazaar (kolatoli). Very expensive to go by cng auto rickshaw or other vehicle. As I booked from Expedia I didn't get any shuttle service to inani to cox's bazaar. People who did over phone they got. Otherwise my experience with hotel was perfect. Don't eat food in hotel if you want real taste of cox's bazaar.

A worthy stay at Cox's Bazar

It was a wonderful trip for me with family. Everything was well arranged. Hotel is perfect for spending holiday in respect of value, environment, amenities. Staffs were very cooperative. Food is also ok. Nice swimming pool, room cleanliness is standard, wi-fi is slow a bit, and restaurant napkins are not that much standard. And guests checked in through hotel websites are not getting pick and drop facilities which i was not informed earlier and it is a hassle to get car from outside for those who have not owned car with them. Otherwise good value and will stay again.

Nice hotel. Decent swimming pool and beach. But absolutely nothing to do. Not entirely the hotel's fault, cox's bazaar has a long way to do to develop things for tourists to do....but the hotel should have invested in beach activities. Only thing to enjoy is the pool and the beach which gets boring after a while

Reception behaved like police

I checked in at about 5 pm on 2 May 2016. I am with my family. I booked the hotel by credit card. Ordinary people do not get credit card. It is also an identity. There was three person in reception one female and two male. They were not client friendly. The female asked me to produce national ID card. Fortunately I had the card in my bag. I gave it. They behave as if I am a thief I may fly away stealing something from hotel. I was really offended. Her name is Nipun I fould out. Two male person in reception I do not know their name but I mention the time so they can easily be found out. Next day I stayed in another hotel in Cox's Bazar. They ask me nothing but a sign and cell number. Its a resort. Reception should not behave as police. I am sorry to say this. But apart from reception the environment was good. Thanks

This hotel is very nice and staff were very friendly. We upgraded the room as the room that I booked did not have the beach view. Breakfast was good as well. Overall nice resort for Cox's Bazaar, Bangladesh.

Decent Hotel in a nice Location

We had a good trip of 2 days at Royal tulip cox's bazar. The hotel is located about 40 mins drive from kolatoli and they have a shuttle service for the guests. We had a smooth and welcoming check-in experience and the room was spacious, clean and inviting. The bed mattress might be an issue if you are not comfortable with spring mattress as it gave me back pain. We had breakfast and most meals at the hotel, which were all ok but nothing extraordinary. i ordered dinner and lunch through room service. food quality was good but they need to improve in service time Staff were simply wonderful- professional, friendly but at time there service quality fluctuates. The view of beach was awesome and the pools looked well maintained but i didn't use it as it was over crowded. The infinity pool is for show which is off putting. The cleanliness of the hotel is an issue as they claim themselves a five star resort. Also the humidity causes the floor to get slightly wet at times.

Nice tour with friends

We were 4 friends lived this hotel for 5 nights.The location and everything was great.Place is also very beautiful and everything was very nice.They have provided Executive Suite room for four person but there was no option to sleep four person.We faced problem in sleeping.The provided things in the room are for only two person but we were four.They should keep look at this matter but they do nothing.They should be more helpful about this matter.Management system should be improved.They keep option to sleep four person at a room and why they don't provide facility for four person.It was terrible.But only for the place I would like to go there again and again.

Definitely far from being a five star rated hotel, though all of my complaining did get me upgraded to a lot better room for the same rate. The staff are ridiculous, they could not figure out my booking through Hotels.com, and took a long time to find me a room that was dirty and lighting did not work in the fancy console. No bar as it was advertised, pool is not heated, staff does not know how to charge your room, was double charged twice for the rooms, since I prepaid via hotels.com and they charged me again, charged me twice for my Driver's dormitory room, double charge me during dinner, and then did not apply my advanced payment when I was checking out. Granted they are still under construction and they are pre-opening stage but that does not mean the staff should be that under trained. The logistics, I can understand but the duty manager and the front deck supervisor has NO idea what they are doing! I saved the erroneous invoices in order for me to share it with the management company. Positives - wireless network works wonderfully across the whole campus which is rare for Bangladesh in such a remote location, no mosquito at all which is also a welcome respite from the rest of Bangladesh, and pristine beach which is almost untouched by the chaos of the usual tourist sites. Advise - the personnel needs to be trained rigorously and the hotel was not even busy, I can't imagine when they are running in full capacity what is going to happen!
