À propos de cet hébergement

Diggs on the River

  • Bring your boat. Diggs on the River is an elevated waterfront home on Suwannee Point in Crystal River, with its own private boat slip, an in water dock, and trailer parking right under the house. Launch from the backyard, idle out through the canal, and you're on your way to Kings Bay and the Gulf. No public ramp lines, no hauling the boat back and forth every morning.
It's a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home that sleeps 8, set up for families, fishing trips, and friends who'd rather spend the week on the water than in the car.
    The Water
The slip and dock are yours for the whole stay. Keep your boat in the water at the house, tie off, and head out whenever the tide and the fish say so. Redfish, trout, and snook are all fair game on the Nature Coast flats, and summer brings scallop season.
Not bringing a boat? Three kayaks and two paddle boards are included, along with paddles and life jackets. Push off from the backyard and you're in calm, shallow water in seconds. Early mornings out here are something else: mullet jumping, herons working the shoreline, and if you're lucky, a manatee surfacing next to you.
    The House
The home sits up on concrete pillars with direct water frontage. Upstairs, the kitchen opens into the living and dining area, so whoever's cooking is still part of the conversation. A large covered porch looks out over the water. It's the spot for morning coffee and for dinner off the grill while the sun goes down. There's also a second story balcony with a view of the water.
    Bedrooms
Primary king bed, with a double-vanity bathroom
    Second bedroom queen bed
Family bunk room sleeps four, and the kids will fight over it.
Fresh linens are on every bed and towels are stacked and ready when you arrive. Two full bathrooms, including a walk in shower.
The decor is nautical throughout, with anchor bedding, fish wall art, and coastal touches.
    Everythings Already Here
Most rentals hand you an empty pantry. Ours doesn't.

Kitchen coffee maker with coffee, sugar, plus a full spice cabinet and olive, avocado, and vegetable oil. Knife block, kettle, pots, pans, and dishes.
Bathrooms shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and toilet paper.
Laundry full size washer and dryer in the home.
Pack lighter and skip the grocery run the first night. Pick up fresh Gulf fish from a local seafood market and put the porch grill to work.

    Parking
The covered area under the house fits up to six vehicles, with room for a boat trailer too. Your trailer stays on the property and out of the sun, with no offsite storage lot needed.
    Also Included
Fast Wi-Fi, good for remote work
    Smart TV
Self check in with a keypad code
Pets welcome: up to two dogs or cats, with a $150 non refundable pet fee.
    The Area
Crystal River is one of the only places in the country where you can see wild manatees up close. In the cooler months they gather in the warm springs by the hundreds.
Three Sisters Springs: the famous manatee spot. Book winter boardwalk tickets ahead if you're coming between November and March. Manatee swim tours run out of nearby Hunter Springs.
Homosassa Springs: take the boat ride in and watch manatees underwater from the floating observatory.
Rainbow Springs cold, clear spring water for swimming, tubing, and paddle boarding.
Scalloping: summer scallop season draws people from all over Florida, and you'll already have the boat slip.
Withlacoochee State Trail: a long, paved rails-to-trail path through Citrus County, great for a morning bike ride.
Day trips: Tampa, the Gulf beaches, and the Orlando theme parks are all within driving range for a big day out.
The restaurants lean seafood and waterfront, from casual fish shacks to spots where you can pull up by boat. We'll send our favorite local picks before you arrive.
    Good To Know
Check-in 3 PM, check out 11 AM. Two night minimum, longer around holidays and peak manatee season.
Sleeps up to 8, infants included. No parties or events.
No smoking indoors. The porch is fine.
Quiet hours are 10 PM to 8 AM.
The home is elevated, so there are stairs to the main living floor and inside the house. All stairs have handrails. This may not suit guests with limited mobility.
The property is on open water with a dock and seawall and no lifeguard. Kids should wear life jackets on and in the water, and should always have an adult with them on the dock.
This is a natural Florida estuary. Expect wildlife, including manatees, dolphins, stingrays, snakes, and the occasional alligator.

There are four outdoor security cameras and none inside the home. The front door camera records video and audio and covers the entry and stairs. Cameras on the north side, the south side, and the back (facing the dock and boat slip) record video only. All are motion activated.
All guests sign a short Florida rental agreement and waterfront safety waiver before arrival, covering the dock, watercraft, balcony, and stairs.
Come for the water. Everything else is already here.
