The condo itself was fine as was the location. The pictures in the app and the instructions were for a different condo several blocks away. The directions link had us driving to Cancun!!! Seriously! The owner only contacted us back as we were trying to enter the wrong building (since the instructions were wrong). The condo didn’t have a coffee maker as stated. It had a Keurig machine but no pods. We brought coffee for a coffee maker but had to go out and find pods on Christmas night. Sleeps six but only had two coffee cups, two large plates and two dissimilar wine glasses. There were no tissues, no bath or shower soaps except for one bottle of body wash someone left for two bathrooms. No hair dryer. No TV in living room. In addition to wrong instructions in the app there were no instructions as to what to do when leaving.

the only positive i have is the host is very communicative. so the check in process is a pain trying to find a key in the middle of the parking garage. i was happy to find a rental that had a king bed. getting off the elevator the entire floor smells like mold.( inside the condo smelled fine but the short walk to the door smells awful). when we got there no king bed. there was a 27ish inch tv in one of the rooms. no tv in the living room or spare bedroom. my son ended up sleeping on the couch because we weren’t going to share a smaller bed. all the extra blankets were dirty and scrunched in a closet. dirty towels and blankets from previous guests all bunched up in another closet. no trash bags in the bathroom trash. another closet had personal items from previous guests items that were left there that were inappropriate for kids. this was my first experience ever with VRBO and i have to say im disappointed i didn’t just stay at a hotel.

Family getaway to see cousin sing at 'The Rustic'

The inside of the property itself was very nice. Parking is sketchy and it's a little hard to find the entrance to the condo. The building is older. Hot inside elevator and hallways and not a nice smell. Wouldn’t stay again.

First, the positives: the beds were comfortable. The apartment itself smelled nice when we walked in. There was a nice welcome note and chocolates on the counter. The host contacted me prior to our arrival to let me know there was a “glitch” with the washing machine, but that she would have her cleaning lady come get any laundry that we needed to have done. The shower was clean. The negatives: The apartment carpet is absolutely disgusting. I wouldn’t even walk across it with socks on. The sofa had cheap looking sofa covers on it. The stove top is cracked and looks terrible. The under cabinet lighting apparently has a short in it. There was tape over the light switch. There were only 2 towels in each bathroom(for 3 nights) with 2 adults in each room, and zero washcloths. One hand towel. There were NO extras in any closets, I looked everywhere. The following are probably out of control of the owner, but Parking is a nightmare. You can’t park in the garage overnight, and have to move your vehicle to the street. The building itself stinks like garbage dumpsters, and there was dog poop tracked everywhere. The pool is closed, and obviously has not functioned for a long time. The worst is that the owner messaged me saying to “either leave her a 5 star review, or none at all, because rentals is her primary source of income.” That seems very unethical and dishonest. If you want a 5 star review, then provide a 5 star accommodation. This one is a 2 at best.

Visiting Dallas from Boston

A friend and I decided to spend a long weekend in Dallas. The place is perfect for two people as it’s got a large kitchen,Living area and two good size bedrooms and bathrooms for plenty of space. The host is easy to communicate with and took a few suggestions we had. We walked to some great restaurants and recommend this place for a visit.

Downtown Apartment better than a Hotel

We (4 adults) were in town for a wedding. Found this 2 Bed/2 Bath in the perfect location. Host is very responsive and communicates regarding your stay. Building and garage use security measures to keep you safe

Our stay here was okay. The apartment was well taken care of but the property and location was a bit… rough. Overall a fine experience for a two night stay to explore Dallas.

Monica was an amazing host and extremely responsive. The unit was spacious and clean and area was central to walk to bars, restaurants and stores. Would definitely stay again.

Spacious Unit with Great Location

The location is central to restaurants, shopping and several hotels. The unit was clean and greeted us with a clean, fresh scent upon entering. The host communicated often and was gracious in providing additional needs and answered promptly!

Top Notch

This condo is clean, well decorated and furnished and in a great location. Beds were comfy. Nice views from all windows. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping and bars. Communication with the owner was amazing. She checked on us before we checked in and after to make sure we didn’t need anything. Hope to stay here again!

In the city

Clean nicely furnished condo/apt on a main street in downtown. Plenty of restaurants and bars few shops that are walkable. Parking was a little inconvenient but plenty of spots on the street if you didn't want to deal with the garage. Host was very responsive and gracious from check in to check out. Beds were very comfortable, Tvs are smart tvs. Could've used more towels, so we bought more ourselves since we were in Walmart throughout the days there. Overall great, clean, easily accessible and if you are used to city vibes you'll fit right in. Thank you helping us choose your place and the info you provided for dining and drinks.

Dallas Stay

This was a private aprt for rental . The check in process to locate key was an obstacle course. No use of pool because it had been closed for 3 months. Having to move the car daily from parking garage to street parking was inconvenient. Two towels per room. In apt dryer did not work. Towels were damp. Place was cute and comfy , with above issues it could have been better. Hostess was responsive to questions. Bring your own towels

Something was off

For the price, this was a decent stay. We got the feeling we were not welcome as guests. The owner stated that even though security was unaware of it being within the owner's right to rent out her condo, it was not against the rules of the building to do so. I will take her word on that but I felt like we beeded to be sneaky and our stay was unnecessarily stressful due to feeling like we were not supposed to be there. The owner did state she would make sure she communicated with her future renters that they are not to interact with security/employees during their stay. For my group, it made us feel very uncomfortable. The lockbox to receive the key card was in a sketchy part of the garage and we had to follow a confusing map of directions finally find it. It was randomly hanging on a fence in the garage. The whole thing felt very sketchy. The building was very unclean Stained carpets and water damage as well S a damaged ceiling right at our entrance. The reason I give more than one star is because upon entering the condo, it was clean, cute and peaceful. If we didnt have to spend an excessive amount of time with logistics such as having to deal with moving our car out of the parking garage by 5pm and feeling welcome by staff in the building, it would have been a better experience. Something is off with this place but Monica was very available and respectful in our interactions so it was not a terrible experience but it was not great.

It worked but it wasn't what we thought

First the good things: Owner was nice and responsive Home was available on time The access instructions were sent early & were clear, easy to follow Great location: Heart of downtown, lots of food/entertainment w/in walking distance or a short Lyft away Owner brought muffins, sparkling water Couches are comfy The Issues: Don't eat at Pub downstairs, they have roaches Dishwasher didn't work There were no oven mits (burned myself twice with paper towels) Wasn't clean: the baseboards, door frames had dust/cobwebs My travel buddy found hairs on her comforter My sheets smelled like urine, Owners reply was "I cleaned them myself" Pool was closed (not her fault) Guest bedroom has a strip of LED lights pasted around the ceiling, with a remote control. If thats your thing, you will love it. We preferred regular light. There's an extension cord/power strip above the guest bedroom door for the lights to plug into. It looks hideous, held up with blue painters tape strips. ***And all of that, we could have easily dealt with until we ran out of toilet paper on the 2nd to last day and she decided that wasnt her problem. Upon arrival there was about 10-15% of the roll left and a new full roll for each bathroom. We stayed Wed-Mon (6 days). I asked where extra rolls can be found and Owner's response was that she gave us enough. Rude. Why ration/be stingy with toilet paper unless you want people to start being unsanitary because they don't have what they need? Confused.

Convenient and clean

Was near all bars and fun! 20 min walk to deep ellum! Right next to Neiman Marcus!! There’s so many places to get anything you need within a 5min walk! Host was great and we loved our location! 10/10!!!

Nice Condo

We really enjoyed the Condo, very spacious with two bedrooms - we were in and out for a quick three-day weekend and it was so much nicer than staying in a hotel. Beds were very comfortable and it was nice to have the extra space. Pool was nice - we moved my son to Dallas that weekend and having that to sit by after the move was very, very refreshing! Only negative was the elevators sometimes didn't work and we walked down 13 floors.
