„I was on an extensive journey around India and stayed at numerous hotels in numerous cities. Shree Ganesha Residency was definitely my favorite. The hotel is very conveniently close to Dashashwamedh Ghat and Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple. While it's on the main street of Varanasi, the hotel is hidden away enough for quite and comfort. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The common area is beautiful and spacious. The restaurant 1916 is wonderful the food is excellent and safe. The staff is ...

„The place is a bit far from the main gaths and turistic atraction and a bit hard to reach (has to be by foot). The staff was nice and the AC worked well in the room which was really good, since the rest of the place was pretty warm. The bathroom was tiny and the shower was not separeted from the rest, which leads to the whole bathroom being wet after showering. The mattress was old and had a whole in the center. Breakfast was OK. If you are not searching for too much comfort, this place is good.“

„We enjoyed the views of Ganges and mostly the courteous and respectful staff of all levels. The hotel being right on one of the Ghats, it made us easier to take a battin Ganges. Also free boat ride from the hotel property allowed us to see the entire views of all famous ghats. The restaurant staff Sandeep and Brijesh provided over and above best services. We will visit the Haveli again in the future. “

Here are some tips for reaching the hotel: you will not be 100% able to take a taxi or so to the front door! You will be dropped of about 8-900 meters from the hotel! Use Google maps to get to the Hotel, once in the area, just ask at shops, and they will show you the small entrance. But beleive me, you will love that the traffic are less at the location! Checkin was easy, ALL the staff are very nice ...
