Great Townhome

Clean and neat townhome and the best part was beach access through the property at Shoreline Towers. All amenities were excellent and Destin is one of the best beach in Florida Panhandle. Will definitely visit again and try to book again !!

Townhouse

We were really not impressed with the unit itself. Seemed dirty to us and not very well equipped for those travelers who fly and are not able to bring everything they need. Would not rent this unit again. The location and complex itself is beautiful with the pool and a short walk to the beach. We loved that part. But the air conditioner was not working in the upstairs bedroom and we had a maintenance man knocking on our door at 8:00 our first day there unannounced. They fixed it but the unit started dripping the next day and when we called maintenance I was put on hold and no one ever came back after five minutes so I hung up. Never was looked at so we kept a bucket under it to catch the leak. We couldn't get the iron to work either. Made meals at home and the kitchen had a lot to be desired in the pots and pans area. No pans big enough to even boil spaghetti. Was very unimpressed with the unit and by far the worst unit we have stayed in. Did not offer beach service or have any beach chairs or anything. Every other unit we have rented from at least has a couple of beach chairs and beach toys for those of us who fly and cannot bring our own. Would not stay here again.

Not great but not horrible

We enjoyed our time, but there were issues. The first one was a dirty front door where we were to enter the code to unlock it. Secondly, there was a urine odor upon entry. Then my husband and I chose the only bedroom on the lower level so we wouldn’t have to trek up and down 2 flights of stairs during our 5 days. That was frustrating because the full size bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Luckily there is a Target nearby where we purchased a foam mattress topper which helped tremendously. We also purchased a new set of sheets to use because the ones there kept coming off even without the topper. From then on we were good with that bed. It rained the next day and we noticed leaks in the ceilings. But there is construction going on currently, so I’m sure that’s what they are fixing now. The kitchen was ample but smaller than I expected. The kids enjoyed spacious rooms upstairs. And it was nice having a bathroom for each room. Rugs would have been appreciated. Living room was open to the vaulted ceiling. Balconies were nice but could have been cleaner. Location is great. Close to shopping, food, beach, etc.

Super nice and spacious

We have a condo at shoreline that my family has had for ever. Unfortunately this year it was under construction so we booked this property. I must say i was extremely impressed but he size and cleanliness of the place. Check in was a breeze. 12/10 definitely recommended!

Bringing in the New Year

The outside of the property does not match the spacious interior. The pictures posted are exactly how the property looks. Definitely a space that can be enjoyed for a friends-cation or multiple couples who want to travel together. Close enough to enough things to do or just do nothing at all. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook. Few areas of improvement: when we arrived, the guard shed did not have anything on us (no email or paperwork saying we were coming), but I had all the info, so there was no problem. There are multiple ironing boards, with only one iron and it needs to be replaced. It does not work well. Most of the outlets do not hold the plugs, so those should be checked and fixed as soon as possible. Lastly, there is wifi, but the tvs aren't wired to connect to the internet, which was a little disheartening. All in all, we would definitely stay there again as the good outweighed the bad.

It was okay.

Everything was good but the bedroom with 2 Queen beds had no air conditioning all week. It was stuffy in the room with only fans to cool it down. It was my 65 year old dad and my daughter’s boyfriend in that room. So 2 grown men did not sleep comfortable in the room. I called they came worked on the portable unit but it went down again. Called again another person came said needed a different unit and would find one never seen him again. Called was told a manager would be calling me and not heard from them yet.

Nice place

This townhouse is beautiful and the beach is just a few minutes walking from there. Very spacious for 2 families and each bedroom has a full bathroom. We love our stay.

I was disappointed in the vicinity of the townhouse. I thought it would be closer to the beach.

The upstairs was very hot the air didn’t work very good up there.

Great vacation in a perfect location

We enjoyed our stay here. The beach is a short walk away from this private entry townhouse. The front door parking is a plus too. There were a few issues we just dealt with but fixing them could better someone else’s stay, such as the cleanliness of the floor, heating element in the dryer, door lock on main floor bathroom, ice maker wasn’t working, only one dish towel was supplied. All in all it was a very nice place to stay.

The refrigerator would not keep anything cold and the freezer didn't keep the ice cream frozen. The ice cream literally melted.

Light fixtures are not working, WiFi wouldn’t work, chair in dining room is broke, rug in living roo

We also had to sweep the steps cause there was sand all over it..we should have no cane in from out of town and expect all these problems. I believe I should get the house keeping fee back or some type of refund. It was an awful stay. Would recommend

The town home was very nice! We had 4 adults and 2 kids and there was plenty of space for everyone. The view was nice, the location to the beach and beautiful pool was easily accessible. The beds were very comfortable!! The only down side was when we arrived it was still 78 degrees inside with 96 degrees on the outside. It took almost all night to finally cool off. Once it cooled off it stayed cool the rest of the time. My 2 recommendations would be to turn the air on early and clean up the shrubs inside the patio outside the kitchen. Other than those two things, we had a wonderful stay. The managers were super helpful and everyone was friendly! I highly recommend for a great getaway to Destin, FL!

Expected More

Prior to our arrival, we asked the property management company if we could store our luggage somewhere in the complex because of the large gap between check in/check out and arrival/departures, unfortunately there wasn't anything they offered us. Luckily, on the day of arrival we were able to check into the property a few hours early without any extra charge - that was very appreciated! Upon arrival, we noticed several things throughout the house that felt a little less clean than we're used to. We found a dried contact on a bathroom floor, there was dirt/trash under the beds, the towels were stained and had hair still on them, the door handle on the freezer was broken, walking without shoes the first day throughout the house (before hitting the beach) our feet were black from the floors not being thoroughly cleaned. This was disappointing especially because it is called out that check out is at 10am because they have such high cleaning standards between guests. We were only supplied with two trash bags for a 4 night, 5 day stay. As a customer, I really don't want to have to buy trash bags for future guests. That shouldn't be my responsibility, especially when trash bags are so inexpensive. We were also surprised to find that there was no generic shampoo/conditioner supplied nor were the pillows throughout the house of any quality/felt clean. We made things work throughout our stay but small gestures like these would have gone a long way, especially when other rental companies and private rental owners make these things a standard amenity. The location was perfect and everything we did during our stay was within 2 miles from us. Access to the beach was perfect and the pool was the perfect temperature. I think if there were a few more small amenities for guests and the standard of cleanliness was better - this would have been a place I would recommend to others/book again.

Destin fun!

While not right on the beach it was just a pleasant short walk away and was just perfect! 5 stars 🌟 clean, great area, close to beach shopping and dining and the beach was gorgeous!

Shoreline Towers Townhouse

Wonderful complex and location. However, townhouse needed repairs, improved cleaning, and maintenance. Light bulbs were burned out on front door patio and king bedroom patio, mold was on panel of combination front door lock, toilet paper holder in king bathroom broken, screens on patios needed repair, and air conditioning system needs adjusting (main floor bedroom was freezing at 72 degrees setting, while upstairs bedrooms were toasty). We notified Real Joy Vacations of problems, but no one from management bothered to contact us or address repairs during our stay.

BEWARE - MOLD- FILTHY

The smell of mold & mildew engulfs the whole place! You can see the water stains coming from the broken upper windows. Black & green mold around all windows & doors. Gum stuck on outside chairs, floors are filthy, sand on comforters, broken dryer door, washer smelled of mildew, front door covered in cobwebs & mosquitos. Standing water on outside fron patio full of mosquitos & holes in screened in porch! Placemats on table were dirty & sticky along with broken arm on dining chair which were also sticky & dirty. I have pictures of all & will post!! RealJoy sent an email apologizing for the inconveniences & said I will not be receiving any compensstion back & to have a safe flight home. I also have the email & will post. Guess what, I grew up in Destin & still have lots of family there! I visit every couple of months. I will never stay with RealJoy again!
