« We have just returned from a fabulous stay at Barn Owl Lodge in Bantham. The owners, Annette and Barry, are incredibly warm and welcoming hosts. The lodge itself is surprisingly spacious, spotlessly clean, and exceptionally well-equipped with everything we could possibly need for a self-catering holiday—right down to the beautifully sharp kitchen knives that made meal prep a breeze! They really have thought of everything, both for us and our dog.Set in a spectacularly idyllic position, the...

« We were hoping for a delightful stay, based on previous reviews and images from the marketing information, however we were very disappointed. Whilst the property had been cleaned inside prior to our arrival the outside space was quite unusable, rusty BBQ, chairs covered with spiders webs, dried leaves all over the floor, decaying fences and sheds, it really needed a lot of TLC - this is actually reflected in a review from 2025, so this isnt a one off. Inside the facility was okay, but WiFi was...

« Lovely balcony overlooking the hills, with table & chairs. The road up to the chalet is a little narrow but compared to all the narrow roads in and around north Devon I expect it is nothing out of the ordinary for the locals. We met a couple of other vehicles where the other people reversed up for us.
The beach is a little walk but well worth it. We went swimming every day and there are lovely cafes & shops.
Chalet was very comfortable and would stay again. »
