Ein sehr schönes Hotel in absoluter top Lage mit Strand Zugang, weitläufiger wunderschöner Außenanlage, sehr sauber, freundliches Personal und sehr schöne Hotelzimmer (auch wenn es nicht mehr die modernste Ausstattung ist). Das Hotel verfügt über ein großes Fitnessstudio (im Nebenhaus), was viele Annehmlichkeiten bietet sowie andere Sportmöglichkeiten. Leider haben wir die Ramadan Zeit erlebt, weshalb wir die Annehmlichkeiten des Hotels nicht ausschöpfen konnten. Der Whirlpool vor dem Aussenpool ist absolut grandios

Wir hatten tolle Tage in Doha. Das Hotel hat einen schönen eigenen Strand an dem man kostenlos gekühltes Wasser bekommt. Der Pool ist ebenfalls wunderbar. Wir haben Lounge Access gebucht und sehr leckeres Essen und Getränke bekommen. Alle Angestellten im Hotel waren super nett. Der Koch fragte ob wir Sonderwünsche haben und erkundigte sich ob das Essen geschmeckt hat. Beim Front Office Leader Team möchten wir uns besonders bedanken. Unter anderem haben wir eine tolle Wüstentour gebucht. Vom Hotel kann man zu Fuß zur Metro gehen oder zur Mall. Direkt vor dem Hotel befindet sich ein Park. Wir können das Hotel sehr empfehlen und kommen bestimmt wieder.

Das Essen war für die gebotene mittelmässige Qualität zu teuer. Die Wassertemperatur im geheizten Pool war mit geschätzten 32 Grad schlicht ein Witz. Das Zimmer wurde teils erst am späten Nachmittag gemacht. Die Atmosphäre in den Restaurants ist verbesserungsfähig. Ganz unangenehm war die dauernde Überkühlung der Räume mit laufender Air Condition. Es ist mir schleierhaft, weshalb man runterkühlt, wenn draussen angenehmstes Klima herrscht.

Die Unterkunft haben meine Frau und ich für die Flitterwochen in Anspruch genommen. Wir haben jede Minute in diesem Hotel genossen. Wir wurden stets königlich behandelt, auch wenn dies etwas übertrieben klingt. Dieses Hotel hat seine 5 Sterne definitiv verdient und ist wahrscheinlich sehr nah an der 6 Sterne Grenze. Ich kann dieses Hotel wirklich jedem weiterempfehlen.

sehr schöne Strandanlage herrlich zum relaxen und schwimmen, überaus freundliches hilfsbereites Personal, abends kam nochmal Zimmerservice um den Zustand des Zimmers zu überprüfen, Mineralwasser Tee und Kaffee (im Preis enthalten) aufzufüllen. Eine öffentliche Bushaltestelle ca. 20 Min. Turnus, beim Hotel, bin damit meist entlang der Corniche gefahren, in den Souk ect.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit hervorragendem Service, sehr freundlichem und hilfbereitem Personal, ausgezeichnetes Frühstücksbuffet, sehr gepflegte Anlage mit Pool und eigenem Strandabschnitt, große geräumige Zimmer mit toller Aussicht. In der nähe befindet sich ein Supermarkt und einige Einkaufszentren. Den Markt (Souq Waqif) kann man bequem mit dem Taxi fahren, oder die 3,8 Km an der Promenade direkt am Wasser auch zu Fuß erreichen.

Komme seit 1986, diesmal war es eine besondere Freude. Neuer Mitarbeiter an Reception - Herr Tarun, äußerst nett und hilfsbereit und professionell. Besonders positiv Herr Noel von Laundry - vergass 502 Qatar Riyal in Hosentasche - selbstverständlich gemeldet und zurückgegeben !! BRAVO !! Von Service am Pool war ich enttäuscht, besonder ein Herr Abdul ist unangenehm aufgefallen. Am Strand alles Super. Einzig stört mich, dass noch keine bessere Lösung mit Fernsehen im Zimmer gefunden wurde. Wenn man vom Bett aus Fernsehen will, ist Sicht eingeschränkt, weil Fernseher zu tief montiert ist......

Silvester in Doha
Wir verbrachten über Silvester ein verlängertes Wochenende in Doha. Die Anlage ist sehr gross. Das Hotel sehr gut gelegen. Besonders gefallen hat uns die Gartenanlage. So war es trotz der zentralen Lage jeweils im Garten am Strand auszuspannen. Die Küche ist auf einem sehr hohen Level. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Etwas gestört hat es das es im Zimmer, durch die Klimaanlage bedingt, zeitweise nach Zigaretten Rauch roch.

Great Stay at the Sheraton
We fully enjoyed our three days at the Sheraton, especially our time at the private beach.The room was spacious with a balcony towards the seaside. The TV was equipped with BeInSport channels, so one can watch his favourite Football games from Europe. And if you miss an ice cold beer, you can go to the "Irish Harp", which ist situated in the ground floor.

Schönes und hervoragend gelegenes Bjou
Man muss sich bewust sein, dass man in einem absolut perfektem Standort für Ruhe liegt. Man findet diese zu jeder Zeit und kann sie genial geniessen. Auch am Strand oder Poolanlage ist es gepflegt und die Angestellten sorgen sich um die Anliegen. Dabei sind sie immer freundlich und nie aufdringlich. Auch lässt es sich das Hotel nicht nehmen 2-3 mal ein kostenlose kleinigkeit zu servieren.

Qualengefahr am Strand
Hatten eine tolles Hotel gebucht mit der Maßgabe, eines Badeurlaubes am Meer. Das Hotel hat ja einen hervorragenden Beachbereich. Nun so gut. Aber beim betretten dieses Bereiches wird auf großen Tafeln unter anderem auf Qualengefahr hingewiesen. Nach Aussagen von anderen Hotelgästen ist dies eine generelles Problem in Doha! Wenn wir das vorher gewußt hätten, wäre diese Hotel nicht gebucht worden. Meine Frau wurde am 2. Tag von Qualen am Arm verletzt. Dann war der Badeurlaub im Meer vorbei. Dieses Hotel ist für Leute, die Badeurlaub machen wollen 100'% nicht zu empfehlen. Unverschämtheit, daß darauf in der Hotelbeschreibung nicht hingewiesen wird.

Restlos begeistert
Meine Familie (2 Kinder 13 und 15 Jahre) machte einen Stoppover- Aufenthalt in Doha für 4 Nächte. Wir waren alle vom Hotel Sheraton restlos begeistert. Es hat eine ganz tolle Architektur, der Strand ist sehr großzügig, für die Kinder perfekt, die Zimmer sind wunderschön und das Personal ist unglaublich bemüht und freundlich. Obwohl das Hotel so groß ist, kannte uns das Personal im Rezeptions- und Eingangsbereich sofort und half uns, wann auch immer es möglich war. Wir fühlten uns in diesem riesigen Luxushotel richtiggehend daheim. Wir haben auch - nur aufgrund des Hotels - tatsächlich schon überlegt, wieder einmal hierher zu kommen!

The hotel is beautiful, clean and spacious. The bedroom was very spacious, we were given an upgrade to sea view on check in. All staff were very welcoming and attentive and went out of their way to greet us. The pool staff went out of their way every morning to greet USA’s soon as we arrived at the au beds. We stayed half board, breakfast and evening meal. There was an ample choice for both and they cater for all tastes. Soup and puddings were always very good. The only negative comment that I would make was that the evening meal was mainly lukewarm rather than hot. If there was a chef on duty serving pasta, pizza etc we tended to eat that as it was prepared on demand and was therefore hot. We are maybe being picky as we like our food hot and know it can be hard to keep buffet food warm, especially when other guests leave the lids covering the food up rather than closing them. On the whole a lovely relaxing holiday in a very peaceful and quiet hotel.
