Stayed on two ocasions, once at the beginning of February and once in mid March. Both times they payed attention to my booking requests and offered an upgrade at no cost. The first time I got a huge room, the second time one on the executive floor. I liked the big spotless clean and highly functional bathrooms. Well trained and respectfull staff.
They guided me to the continental breakfast restaurant on the high floor with magnificent views which was an absolute desaster. Cheap products, awfull smell from the egg preparation counter. Tried some crapy pastry with coffee and orange juice. At check out I realized there where a second breakfast restaurant with Indian staple. It might have tasted better.
The hotel is full of noisy Indian groups; in the first night my Indian neighbour kept throwing up uninterrupted. The Government of Dubai granted them five stars, ridiculous! This hotel can be given a solid three stars rating. No more! Would book again (without breakfast, of course) if I could be offered an attractive rate.
