Altough they advertised being only a short walking distance from the airport (5 minutes stroll, 267 m to be precise), it was a long 1.6 km walk along the motorway using google maps. There were no signposts up anywhere showing where to go. There is a shortcut which the staff pointed out to me to go back to the airport. But that’s through a car park, across what looked like some private lawns and a hazardous road with no pedestrian crossing. Once in the hotel, i had to ask twice to find the elevator. No signpost up for that either. And although I had booked several months in advance, they couldn’t have put me in a room further away from the lift and reception if they’d tried. On top of that, no adapters for European plugs and no USB plugs to charge a phone. My bathroom smelled if drains. And the windows didn’t keep out the noise of the planes. Not very good value for money.

When I arrived the room was cold as the radiator did not work. I had an extremrly friendly gentlemen from hiusekeeping coming to my room checking it, he then promised to sort it and did so within 10 minutes, calling me twice to make sure everything worked again. I was blown away by his efficieny. Perfect!

Die Person beim Einchecken war nicht so freundlich und konnte sich kaum auf Deutsch verständigen. Zimmer war sehr schön, Transport zum Flugplatz war gut organisiert.

Absolute daylight robbery: I paid 259 Euros for 1 night for one person without breakfast. Yes, it is an airport hotel. But before the pandemic, this was 120. Rip-off Republic Ireland at its best. The Hilton (!) at Munich airport cost 303 Euros on the same night. But that's the Hilton in Munich and it was during Oktoberfest, so lots and lots of tourists. And the restaurant was a joke: It took me 25 minutes to just place my order. The order was for a Tiger Prawn salad, what I got was 5 shrimps on a skewer and some leaves. It took me less than 5 minutes to eat. 12,50 Euro.

The reception was very busy, understandably, so it was difficult to just ask a question after check-in. Excellent service from the restaurant in sourcing gluten-free breakfast bag.

Eine Nacht im Hotel
Ich war nur eine Nacht im Hotel wegen der späten Ankunft des Fluges. Da ich nur einen kleinen Rucksack hatte war das Hotel schnell erreicht. Der Check-in konnte online gemacht werden, somit musste ich nur noch die Karte abholen. Der Fluhr des Hotels war miserabel, überall Dreck und Flecken. Das Zimmer selbst dann überraschend sauber.

Das Beste an dem Hotel ist natürlich die unmittelbare Nähe zum Flughafen, ansonsten würde dort wohl niemand übernachten. - Es ist alles professionell aufgestellt, letztlich aber sehr unpersönlich, eng und masslos überteuert.

This hotel is awful. For this price point don't bother. It feels unsafe and they charge guests for car park even though hotel rate is already expensive. One star at best

I liked the convenience of several different areas to eat dinner with different menus. Food was good. Check in and check out was easy and quick. Need two shuttle buses in AM for airport in morning. Bathroom floor was dirty.

I usually don’t give negative reviews but we had a really bad night at this hotel. We had a late flight into Dublin and an early departure so we thought we would stay at the Maldron and get 7 hours of sleep. We ended up getting about 2 hours of sleep each. There was banging around all night, I think people walking in the hallway above us radiated through the walls and ceilings and it honestly sounded like thunder. It would stop for 5 minutes then start again. We didn’t complain as we kept thinking it had to stop then it just got so late we didn’t want to move rooms. Like I said I hate leaving bad reviews but if you have the option I would stay at the Radisson or the other hotel in the area that offers a free airport shuttle.
