Perfect location Property set in a quiet residential street and a short 6 minute walk downhill to the main harbor area. It’s a long uphill walk back but if necessary you can get the bus or an Uber. It’s no distance just uphill for those who can’t make it. The apartment was clean and spacious and had an amazing balcony with a wonderful view. The pool are is a real bonus also with views Easy to get to Dubrovnik via bus or boat. We liked the calm feeling of Cavtat Host was great and allowed us to leave our luggage on the last day and use pool facilities. He also collect us from the airport.

Very spacious one bedroom apartment with magnificent views of the bays. Apartment had everything you need and was nice and peaceful. The apartment is up a steep hill but was fine for us as we are used to a lot of walking but is something to consider if you're not into walking. Pool is lovely and maintained every day by the host Pero. It was lovely sitting outside on the balcony with a glass of wine. Pero is a superb host, there is a restaurant and shop close by also

Although the property is outside of town, it was only a walk of maybe 12 minutes - although downhill. We were up on the hill above the water & town and the view was spectacular! We felt safe and it was very quiet....even from guests in other rooms. The property is clean and well maintained. The pool is also clean and well maintained. There was a small grocery store about 5 minutes from our property. The owner - Pero - was very accomodating. He arranged and took the 3 of us on a wine tour of 2 wineries and also drove us to the airport when we left. We would stay there again and would recommend it.

We had Pero (the owner) pick us up from the airport. This ensured we arrived at the accommodation without any issue. The apartment was clean and tidy with all necessary appliances. The pool area was clean and tidied everyday and the view is amazing. WiFi worked very well both inside and in the pool area. Cavtat is a little way from Dubrovnik old town but you can travel by bus, uber or boat from the harbour. For us it was ideal and we would definitely return.

Chose this hotel based on guest reviews online. The owner Petro offers superb service and attention to all guests. Very spacious rooms with impeccable views of the Bay Area. Free parking. Grocery store just 5 minutes walking from hotel. Downtown Cavtat is only 12 minutes walking distance, although very steep for some tourists. Great variety of restaurants to choose from, with gorgeous views of the bay, specially at sunset. Cavtat itself was the perfect hub to drive all around, drove to Mostar, Podgorica, Budva, Blagaj, Kotor, Ostrog Monastery, and many other places. Ferry to Dubrovnik was very inexpensive and a great experience. Many ATM's downtown as well. Beautiful pools area with breathtaking views of the bay with Dubrovnik on the horizon. One of best hotels I've stayed at during my many trips abroad!

Beautiful place, quiet and well kept. Pool was amazing and view was great. Owner was great and very helpful. The walk back up from Cavtat was a climb but the town itself is so lovely and a perfect size. Lots of boat trips to Dubrovnik etc ans lots to do in the area. We loved it here and would love to come back some day.

Great stay, view and host!

Great location with probably the best view in whole of Cavtat. The host Pero is a great host. He was really flexible in terms of check in, check out and other requests. He even offered to drive me and my wife to the airport for free. My best recommendations for this place.

Great apartment with fabulous views

Really comfortable basic one bed apartment with fabulous views and pool. The host, Pero, was really helpful and a lovely man. A supermarket is five minutes away as is the bus to Dubrovnik. Steep hill down to the main town but you can catch the bus up the hill.

A fantastic home from home accommodation

The property is amazing everything was immaculate and spotlessly clean.Stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment had spectacular views of the town and Dubrovnik in the distance.The pool area was a little oasis with a fantastic clean pool and well kept gardens a wonderful seating area under a large wooden gazebo to sit for a little shade. Now about the owner Pero what a true gentleman always on hand to see if you needed anything which we didn't as everything was supplied down to dishwasher washing machine iron and ironing board.Pero and his lovely little boy also took us all back to the airport on our departure Really didn't want to write a fantastic review as would like this little gem to be kept a secret but i would be really just being selfish. Deserves a 5 star.So 10/10 for Villa Alegria and thank you for a wonderful stay.

Pero was a fantastic host friendly, helpful, and always quick to respond. The highlight of the property was definitely the view; it was absolutely stunning and incredibly peaceful, making for a truly relaxing stay. Throughout our trip, we reached out to Pero for recommendations on sightseeing and general local tips, and he was always accommodating and easy to communicate with. One thing to note: if you’re planning a more lively or party-style holiday, this might not be the ideal place. The apartment is in a residential area, so loud music isn’t allowed. One night we did play music a bit louder than usual, thinking it was contained within the apartment, but we did receive a noise complaint. That said, I would still give this property an excellent rating. My overall experience was amazing—I loved the apartment and would happily return.

Lovely

The best bit is definitely the view from the pools and apartment balconies (except for the small studio - that overlooks the car park and trees), you can see down over the peninsula in Cavtat and all the way over to Dubrovnik old town. Sunsets are amazing. The apartment had lots of space, everything in good condition and was a nice place to be. The pool and garden was also well looked after and a great place to relax. It should be noted that it is directly under the end of the flight path for the final approach to the airport. Whilst this makes transfers quick it does mean that you have the noise of the planes quite often (and this will be much the same for other properties in the rest of Cavtat), but they do stop overnight. We went at the start of September 2024 and there were some building works about 500m away with a relentless jackhammer digging out rock. Obviously this isn't the fault of this villa and won't go on for long, but if you are booking for sept/Oct 24 it might be worth asking if this has now finished. The owner, Pero was really friendly and helpful. We had a great stay.

Two Bed Apartment

Had a fantastic short stay here with a lovely family run business. You will struggle to beat the view we had of Cavtat. Dont expect to walk into a sleek modern appt , it is a little dated but you have all you need and everything is in working order. The pool is excellent .We would have no problem returning again. Few Tips. The walk back from town is very steep so plan to get the bus (no 10) to stop 1 on the hour, or use a taxi. Stop 1 is next to the By the way Restaurant 5 mins from the appt. Going into town , turn left just after the restaurant and walk directly downhill via a road and steps. There is an unmarked woodland path directly at the back of the apartments if youre steady on your feet , taking you almost directly to the bus station. Airport is only 10 mins away and you are directly under the flight path but somehow added to the holiday.. No noise at night. Nearby supermarket is ok but they never had change so i would advise using a card. Couldnt fault the local By The Way Restaurant if you dont fancy a walk into town with a take away service available. Finally pack a waterproof, if you are unfortunate to get rain you will no about it!!

Wunderbare Ferienwohnung. Hell, sauber, sehr gut ausgestattet. Der Blick vom Balkon und von der Poolterrasse war einfach atemberaubend. Sehr netter Besitzer, der uns vom Hafen abholte. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Tinha até lava louças, tudo funcionando perfeitamente. Cavitat é metade do preço de Dubrovnik, o dono responde imediatamente e até permitiu late checkout. Parabéns.

Family trip in July

Our family had an amazing stay at Villa Alegria in July and we wish to come back and stay there again next time we visit Cavtat. The pool area was great and it has a beautiful view over the ocean. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed and the host was friendly and helpful.
