Sauberes Zimmer an super Lage
Sehr schönes Zimmer mit eigenem Bad, sauber und gross. Lage super, 5’ zu Fuss zum Zentrum, 2’ zum Bahnhof/Bushaltestelle. Colin war ein sehr freundlicher Gastgeber und hat uns mit allem geholfen. Das Frühstück war grosszügig und sehr fein. Alles war hübsch eingerichtet. Würde die Unterkunft wieder buchen.

Lovely B&B, very central, an ideal base. Clean and comfortable. The breakfasts are very varied..something for everyone, so much choice. Lovely owners with a mine of information of the area and things to see and do. Will definitely be back, anywhere else would be a step down in my honest opinion

The best value for money in Dumfries. I hope I'm lucky enough to get a room when I next need a bed for the night in the area. Highlighted to a member of staff that the shower head in my room needed a scrub but aside from that the space was spotless. When mentioned my room number was jotted down and I am sure it's already been attended to. I mentioned it at check out as it didn't bother me but wanted them to be aware as sure it was just missed.

Good location a little bit away from downtown, but walkable. Great full breakfast. friendly hosts. The little dish of candies on the hutch in the hall was tasty and helpful for my throat. Parking was good- better than most of the other B&Bs we stayed in.

A lovely period property, with a friendly and helpful host. Colin introduced himself as we arrived in the car park and took us to our room. He gave us a brief history of the area and recommended a number of good eateries in the town. The Breakfast menu was in our room and offered a good selection of breakfast options. We had vegetarian breakfasts and were more than happy with what we had.

The room was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The pillows were rather too firm. Space in the shower was restricted; difficult for a larger person to access. Owner was most helpful and attentive. Breakfast was very good.

Amazing, I will visit again.
Amazing stay, friendly owner, comfortable clean large room with a great shower. A delicious cooked breakfast and nice fruit juice, great coffee and good selection of cereals yogurt and fruit.

The place was decent for the price paid. The room could have done with maintenance. One of the bedside lights didn’t work properly and the room just seemed a bit shabby. Could do with a bit of love.

A warm welcome & good breakfast. But Dumfries Villa is let down by its lack of attention to cleaning. Main areas of bedroom were clean - but cobwebs & dust lay around in corners, edges, fireplace etc Behind bed was absolutely thick with cobwebs & dust. Unacceptable.

A wonderful find! Literally a two-minute walk from the rail station and five minutes from the town center. Fantastic breakfast. The rooms were well appointed with thoughtful details such as biscuits and full range of teas/coffee. Beds were comfortable, quiet at night. I would definitely stay here again. The TV could've been bigger, but not a major point! I'd definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately the worst nights sleep we have ever had, mattress was clearly past it’s best. Springs everywhere digging into us, impossible to sleep, bedpost not attached to be properly. Cobwebs around the room. Towels and sheets were fresh. Breakfast also disappointing. Great location but would avoid staying here again. Tried feeding this back to owner, but no response

We are sorry you had a bad nights sleep. We have since replaced the mattress in this room. We inspected the room and we did find a cobweb on the ceiling above the room window. Being a Victorian Villa the ceiling height in our rooms are 10 feet 7 inches. We use a special cleaning tool to clean our ceilings once a week . The ceiling was due to be cleaned the next day. We were surprised about your comment on your breakfast as you ate everything we served. But thank you for your feed back

Fantastic breakfast and friendly host . Room was spacious with en-suite. The host supplied many thoughtful extras such as tea/coffee and toiletries and hand sanitizer and this couldn’t be faulted! However silly things like attention to detail in cleaning could be improved. Friendly comfortable stay and ideal location for Dumfries centre .

Hotel was really nice, the host was great and the breakfast was great also. The bedroom was a great size only problems for me was at night the room was a bit too cool even though I turned the radiator up to full and the bed mattress needs either replacing or a good mattress topper as I could feel the springs. Overall a nice place to stay and i would stay again.
