"Das The View Hotel ist mit Abstand das Beste und modernste der zahlreichen Hotels entlang der Seepromenade von Eastbourne. Fast jedes Zimmer hat einen Balkon und die Aussicht von dort über Strand und Pier ist einfach phänomenal. Die Zimmer sind in der Regel modern und zeitgemäß eingerichtet, wobei das Mobiliar in einzelnen Zimmern sicherlich ein Update erfordert. Dennoch bekommt man für den Preis insbesondere außerhalb der Saison kaum etwas Besseres in Eastbourne geboten. Wer dagegen eher auf klassische viktorianische Hotels steht, der ist hier fehl am Platz."

"Ganz wunderbare Menschen in diesem Hotel und die Lage ist hervorragend. Leider für den Preis recht veraltete Zimmer in eher desolaten Zustand. Die Sitzgelegenheiten im Erdgeschoss sind zahlreich. Aber es gibt kaum Möglichkeit bequem zu sitzen und tagsüber eine Tasse Tee zu genießen. Kein Service, Restaurant außerhalb des Frühstücks geschlossen. Erst wenn die Bar abends aufmacht kann man an winzigen Tischen sitzen und etwas trinken. Dadurch ist es in dort auch tagsüber wie ausgestorben. Renovierung und ein pub täte dem Hotel gut. "

"I recently stayed at Hayden Hall Hotel in Eastbourne for two nights as a solo traveller. The location is fantastic – just steps from the seafront promenade, and only a 5-minute walk to the town centre. There’s also a nearby bus stop with connections to Brighton and other towns, and the train station is about 8–10 minutes away. The hotel has a charming exterior and a peaceful atmosphere. The reception and housekeeping staff were very friendly, and check-in was quick and easy. My single room on the third floor was small but had everything I needed: private bathroom, towels, soap, hairdryer, and a lovely sash window for fresh sea air. The hotel was quiet at night, which I appreciated. However, the room showed signs of wear. The carpet was stained and in need of deep cleaning or replacement. A used teaspoon had been left behind, and the duvet cover had a couple of small stains. The lift was very cramped, dusty, and outdated – not suitable for anyone with claustrophobia or hygiene concerns. Overall, it’s a decent budget option for 1–3 nights, especially for solo travellers. The great location and fair price make it a reasonable choice, though some updates and better attention to cleanliness would greatly improve the experience."
