« The property was clean and comfortable, and Elterwater is a lovely area to stay in with lovely scenery outside the front door. Sheep just roam freely, so make sure you drive carefully! It's also a great starting point for a number of good walks. We had lots of days where we didn't need to use to car to enjoy a day out and great views. If you fancy having a day in Grasmere, we would definitely recommend the walk over the fells into Grasmere, which took us about an hour. Alun was a great host,...

« The cottage was spotless and very comfortable, with comfortable beds and a beautiful bathroom and a comfortable, fully equipped kitchen. You can walk (15 minutes) to a local market, and many wonderful hikes start at your doorstep. The local pub is at the bottom of the street and excellent.It would have been helpful if the kind of coffee maker in the kitchen had been specified (there is a French press), as it makes it easier to shop before you arrive.
