Great house and pool!

House was super clean! Porch was lovely. The pool is nice sized and plenty of furniture for lounging. Kitchen had everything we needed and then some. Very short (5 minutes) walk to beach. Beach was wonderful! Not crowded at all; kids loved every minute of it. We’ve been to lots of beaches along the East coast and Emerald Isle is a favorite. Glenn was a great host and other than seeing them one time, we didn’t even know they were there. Great communication. Would definitely stay again!

GREAT FAMILY VACATION

Great vacation at this house! Wish the listing was a little clearer re the bedrooms and Murphy beds, BUT it worked out great for us! The owner (Glen) was very personable and a pleasure to be around! Would love to stay here again!

Beautiful home!

This is a beautiful house! Very clean and inviting! Just as the pictures show. The kitchen is very well stocked. It’s a short walk to beach access past maybe 4-5 houses. The owner was very nice and helpful. He and his family stay on the top two floors, but were so quiet that we hardly knew they were there the whole week. Loved having the pool! Beautiful stay!

Our stay at This Side of Heaven was five stars in all respects. The house was perfect for our family of 12 people in all age ranges. It was spotless and well stocked upon our arrival. The short walk to the beach access was ideal, and the pool was the perfect touch for those times when we wanted a change of pace from the beach. The best part of our stay was the exceptional hospitality and customer service from Glenn. In addition to meeting us upon arrival and showing us around his house, Glenn went out of his way throughout our stay to ensure everything in the house met our expectations and that we had everything we needed to make our annual beach week vacation a memorable one. We will definitely book again!

Great House for Week at Emerald Isle

We had a blast with our eight adults and 6 kids (7,6,5,4,4,2). Convenient one block walk to the beach. Outdoor heated shower to wash off the sand and a heated pool with afternoon shade to let the have a last swim. Owner was a gracious and responsive host. It was perfect!

Family vacation on Emerald Isle

Our family just returned from a wonderful week at the beach. Glenn (the host)could not have been more helpful or kind. He greeted us upon arrival, showed us around, and left a wonderful basket of sandwiches and deli salads so our first evening meal was delicious. The house was completely as described in the listing and very clean. The kitchen is large and very well stocked with dishes, glassware, pots, pans, etc. Our group ranged in ages from 5 years to 77 years and all seemed to enjoy. The air hockey table was especially popular while at the house. The pool was peaceful, quiet and private. Access to the beach is a short walk and the beach was never crowded. We enjoyed the aquarium, Fort Macon and Shackleford Island, each just a short drive from the house. Thank you Glenn and Ennette!!!

This Side of Heaven was Heavenly

Our family of 6 adults and 6 children ages 6 months to 14 years thoroughly enjoyed this lovely house with pool and the most gracious hosts. The house was beautifully decorated, comfortable and kitchen well equipped with 2nd frig on 1st floor. The hosts provided lots of information and were so easily accessible and responsive. From the large 2nd floor porch we could see the water from the rockers and there was a short walk to the beach. The pool was a total hit for the children and adults for day and evening swims. Pool and air hockey tables also were hits. A large dining table was big enough for all to eat together and spend evenings playing games. All in all this home provided lots of opportunities and enjoyment. Thanks, The Baums

Rossi Family Vacation 2024

This house and its owner Glenn were amazing! We were a party of 14 and this house suited us perfectly! Beautiful inside and out. It has a lovely pool, 2 grills, 2 refrigerators and a large washer and dryer. The kitchen has everything you need- we cooked most nights. Ample seating for 14. The kids loved the pool table and air hockey. Short, easy walk to the beach. Glenn was available to quickly assist us with any questions/needs. We loved relaxing on the large porch, especially on July 4th where we were able to see all fireworks that people were setting off on the beach. He is a wonderful host! I would highly recommend this property and hope to return soon!!!

A Gem in Emerald Isle

Everything about our vacation at this property was wonderful. Home is exactly as pictured if not better! So clean! Pool and the pool area was so nice. Well-equipped kitchen, plenty of dishes and cooking supplies….2nd fridge is a life-saver at the beach! Comfortable beds, plenty of linens and the game room was a hit! Plenty of space for our family of 7 adults-we were so comfortable here. Glenn is such a kind and thoughtful host! He responded promptly to any questions, met us upon arrival to show us the property. There were deli sandwiches and all the fixings in the fridge to help ease that initial grocery run! Easy walk to the beach (which is quiet and not crowded!) sunsets on the sound were gorgeous. First time at Emerald Isle, we will be back!

Wonderful Beach Week!

We had an amazing time here. The house was just as pictured and advertised. It is beautiful and the amenities are first class. Glenn could not be nicer or more helpful. He Consistently was there to address all our needs and make sure we were happy. We loved staying here. It's a very short walk to the beach and the views are lovely. This Side of Heaven

Our family had a wonderful time at the Thomas home.. Met us on arrival to do a walk through and explain everything. Even had deli sandwiches and cold deli salads waiting for us. House and property was immaculate upon arrival. Lots of amenities including pool table, air hockey, and nice sized private heated pool. Kitchen was beautiful with everything you need even down to spices. Very quiet neighborhood with lots of privacy to reconnect with family. Beautiful beach that had natural feel that you only get in NC. Saw dolphins, shark, and sting ray thanks to a neighboring surf fisherman. Shelling was great with whole Conch shells washed up onshore. Host was so inviting, and around when needed, but not intrusive at all. Hope to return to This Side of Heaven again.

Perfect Set Up for Multiple Families!

Glenn is an amazing host - he is on site and accessible via text / phone call to answer any questions. The house is perfectly situated between the Emerald Isle and Indian Beach amenities / restaurants / entertainment in a quiet area of the beach. Beach access is easy. The pool is in the shade in the afternoon and evening which makes is a great option after hitting the beach in the morning. Layout is perfect for multiple families. We loved it!

Wonderful Beach Get-Away

We had a wonderful time staying here. The house was super clean and in excellent condition. The blankets were fresh and clean and the paint on the walls was so perfect, it was the opposite of a beaten-up beach house - very lovely and inviting. :) The huge dining room table was enough seating for our huge party and we the pool was very clean and fun for the kids. :) There were plenty of beds and bathrooms and the pool table and air hockey table were fun for the kids. :) We had a wonderful time. :) It was a quick walk to the beach and we had fun looking for crabs at night time. :) Very close to lots of restaurants and things to do. :) This house was wonderful. We'd definitely stay there again :)

Pretty darn perfect

It was a great house in a great location! It was new and clean and had everything we could have needed for a great week with three big families! The pool was wonderful and a perfect place to relax. There was both shade and sun on the patio! The walk to the beach was not too far to be an issue. We plan to return for sure!

Anniversary celebration

The house was the newest, cleanest and best stocked house we have ever stayed in! The kids loved the pool, the beds were comfortable, the pool table was a big plus for the teen grandchildren. Glenn had sandwiches, salads and cookies in the refrigerator for us when we got there. The kids were expecting pizza, so we saved it all and took it to the beach for lunch the next day. That was a great way to start our celebration! Glenn was quick to respond when I had questions, prior to our arrival. You will love this place!
