« In a former palace, the lobby, restaurant and spa are spectacular. The service is kind and omnipresent. Location is not perfect to visit the city but closer to the airport so it is a good compromise. Maybe the rooms, actually comfortable, but a little bland, would need renos to really be at par with the grandeur of the building. Add historical details and design in the rooms and this is the Paris Ritz on the beach in Montevideo! »

« Comfortable hotel with good rooms, good beds, sound proof. Sadly one of the 2 elevators was broken. Reception is nice and competent. Only one receptionist in the evening is not enough even if she is nice. Near hop on hop off bus station and a big mall. »

« A very noisy room on the first floor on Goes street. As I talked to the receptionist I learned that they can not guarantee a room that does not look on Goes street I was told that it depended on availability and that I could not book a quieter room in advance. So as a whole, my stay was disappointing and frustrating because the traffic on Goes street never stops and the window panes are not efficient enough. « A haven before an early flight! The lake view room was a comfy, warm cocoon in winter time. The bed was comfortable with sensually pleasant sheets.However bigger bath towels would have been greatly appreciated. »
